Warehouse Supervisor - Distribution Center
Location: Richmond, VA
Position: Full-time with benefits package

Position Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor leads and oversees the performance of all tasks involved in the shipment, requisition, and storage of product, supplies and equipment into and from this facility with the guidance of the Distribution Center Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and lead team of Warehouse Associates in a fast-paced and detail-oriented distribution center.
Shipping and receiving
Stores materials/equipment
Controls Inventory
Upholds environmental health and safety standards
Works closely with internal customers (Store Associates and Sales Managers)
Provides excellent customer service to external customers (mechanical contractors, dealers, owners)
Supervises and assigns tasks to Warehouse associates based on business needs and customer priority
Ability to run reporting and review data for warehouse performance and efficiency
Ability to quickly assess team needs and change plans and actions in real time to support business needs.
Requirements
Skills
Supervisory skills including leading, motivating, instructing and disciplining warehouse associates as needed
Oversees shift product flow, facility layout, and security and maintenance activities
Improves workflow processes to increase productivity and drives work force safety
Manages created damage, inventory shrink and product repairs
Manages partnership with LTL providers including cost control, damage claim rate and customer satisfaction
Experience with MS Office, Warehouse and Logistics Software and ability to learn and train others on use of systems and equipment such as inventory management, scanners, tablets, forklift, clamps lifts and other as needed
Manages fleet of third-party logistics provider delivery trucks including routing efficiency and customer service
Minimum Qualifications And Experience
High School diploma required, and Associates Degree preferred, but not required
Minimum 5-7+ years of warehouse operational experience
Experience training and leading others
HVAC experience or similar industry, is preferred, but not required
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
PC skills and inventory and shipping/receiving systems experience required
Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal (Teambuilding) skills
Proven commitment to customer service and a safe work environment
Must be team-oriented
Experience with shipping, receiving, RF Scanners and UPS World Ship
Ability to exhibit leadership, accountability, teamwork, and dedication to customer service
