Warehouse/Shipping Specialist

Job Summary:

• To pull proper merchandise from warehouse shelves, inspect, schedule, package, load and process paperwork of finished goods
• Although certain positions have specific tasks and responsibilities with respect to food safety, the food safety and high quality of all products manufactured by Terphane LLC. is, in general, the responsibility of every Terphane employee
  
  

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for daily shipping documentation which includes, but is not limited to, shipping labels, bill of lading, export papers (when required) and master packing list. (35%)
• Schedules trucks for pick-up and delivery of finished goods on a timely basis. (20%)
• Help to secure rates, quotes and contracts with LTL and full-load carriers. (10%)
• Coordinate and complete packaging of materials using receiving and production as assets. (10%)
• Final inspection of finished goods for proper packaging and that shipping labels match the shipping documentation (10%)
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and integrity. (5%)
• Communicate any new procedures, requirements, etc. with contracted trucking companies. (5%)
• Communicate performance levels expected with contracted trucking companies. (5%)
  
  

Observe all safety rules for self and others. (Ongoing)

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

• The Warehouse/Shipping Coordinator is expected to become proficient in the Receiver job functions to such a degree that the Warehouse/Shipping Coordinator can cover during the absence of the Receiver.

Responsible for keeping accurate records of all actions taken.

Education and Experience:

High School diploma and 2-4 years of shipping and warehousing experience and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates,Licenses,Software:

Forklift certification is required. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic understanding of ERP System

Key Results Areas:

• Manage shipping costs by combining present and future orders.
• Conduct final inspection of finished goods for proper packaging and ensure shipping labels match the shipping documentation
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and integrity according to schedule per ISO form

Salary Range:

$17.13 - $24.03
