We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing warehouse activities, ensuring operational efficiency, and leading a team to achieve organizational goals. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong understanding of warehouse management systems and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management: Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping of products. Ensure operations are running smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies
Team Leadership: Lead, train, and mentor a team of warehouse staff, fostering a culture of safety, productivity, and continuous improvement
Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and ensure accuracy in inventory records. Implement strategies to minimize inventory discrepancies
Safety Compliance: Enforce safety regulations and ensure the warehouse environment adheres to OSHA and company safety standards. Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions
Performance Monitoring: Set performance metrics for warehouse operations and staff. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to address any performance gaps
Customer Satisfaction: Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment. Address and resolve any operational issues that may impact customer service
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance warehouse efficiency and productivity. Utilize lean management techniques to streamline operations
Budget Management: Assist in the development and management of the warehouse budget. Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving initiatives
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse operations management, preferably in a 3PL or logistics environment
Education: Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is preferred
Skills:
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software
Knowledge of OSHA regulations and warehouse safety standards
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
