JOB SUMMARY: This role will lead/manage the opening and successful launch of our new distribution center warehouses (Dry and Cold Chain). Responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of the project, from site selection and warehouse layout to technology implementation, team recruitment, and inventory management.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the project team, ensuring on-time and on-budget completion.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive project plan, including timelines and resource allocation.
- Manage project risks and develop mitigation strategies for potential roadblocks.
- Monitor and report on project progress with key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Optimize warehouse design for efficient receiving, storage, picking, and packing processes.
- Oversee the procurement and installation of warehouse equipment (e.g., racking systems, conveyor belts).
- Implement Warehouse Management System (WMS) and ensure seamless integration with existing enterprise systems.
- Develop and implement safety protocols, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and transportation service providers.
- Ensure timely delivery and installation of equipment and services within budget, identifying continuous improvement opportunities.
- Perform other job related functions as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
DEGREE TYPE: Bachelor's Degree
FIELD(S) OF STUDY: Business Management or Related to Supply Chain and Logistics Management
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 3-6 years of project management experience, preferably in logistics or warehousing for the cruise industry.
- Proven track record of successfully leading complex projects from inception to completion.
- Experience in warehousing and logistics for the cruise industry.
- Expertise in warehouse design and layout optimization.
- Experience implementing new technology solutions in a warehouse environment.
- Experience in warehouse staff recruitment and training.
COMPETENCIES/SKILLS:
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping processes.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other relevant supply chain technologies.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and work effectively under pressure.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Must be able to travel domestic and internationally.
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Requires ability to climb, stoop, kneel, and reach.
- Must be able to move and/or lift up to 30 pounds.
- Work is performed in a warehouse environment; for the most part the ambient temperature will depend on the temperatures outdoors.
- Must be available for off-hours, holidays, and weekends for emergency operations.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
- Ability to obtain a Transport Workers Identification Card (TWIC) and Port ID to perform functions at any pier or on board our vessels if needed.
- Forklift or other material handling equipment certification is a plus.

The salary range for this position is: $80,000 - $100,000, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual company performance-based bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual, skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
