The mission of our Warehouse teams is to drive top line sales through efficient, accurate and on-time order shipments and deliver bottom line savings through seamless warehouse operations. Reporting to the Director, Warehousing, and COO, the Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading teams across Receiving, Shipping and Inventory Control to deliver against the business objectives and build a safe, collaborative, and high-performing workplace for the team.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
DEPARTMENT MANAGEMENT (60%)
Coach, mentor and develop team members
Recruit, hire, and train new team members
Create/manage team schedules to maximize coverage and team performance, while minimizing overtime and temp labour
Manage team workload/headcount to ensure team efficiency and effectiveness and meet business need
Run and analyze team reporting, ensuring all members are aware of and meeting department metrics and KPIs
Ensure all Warehouse SOP’s are documented and develop net new SOP’s according to business need
Ensure all team members have required training for Safety and Job Function
Partner with HR to ensure proper onboarding and training for all new hires
Ensure the Warehouse has adequate equipment and all equipment is in satisfactory working order
Create and maintain a safe, clean, organized and productive work environment
DAY TO DAY (40%)
Plan and execute daily operational tasks for current day and week, keeping overtime to a minimum
Direct the daily duties of the warehouse personnel which may involve cross-training, assigning staff to different areas of the warehouse and follow up
Work with Supervisors to ensure all daily responsibilities are attended to in a customer serviceoriented and productive fashion
Support the Receiving team in executing against required daily deliverables (devann containers, stowing containers, receiving inventory accurately, consolidating inventory within the warehouse)
Support the Shipping team in executing against required orders to be processed according to SLA
Ensure Inventory Control is executing against cycle counts, returns processing, stock checks, and managing orphans/re-wraps according to SLA
Support the team in executing any other required tasks or duties for warehouse operations, as required
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
3-5 years of leadership experience within a warehouse environment
Experience managing multiple buildings considered an asset
Experience with all areas of warehouse operations – Receiving, Shipping, Operations, Inventory Control
Experience with UPS, Fedex, Courriers, LTL and container shipping
Proficiency in RF Scan, MS Word, Excel and Outlook
Experience working with WMS system(s) an asset
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written)
A self-starter who takes initiative and sets good example for the warehouse staff
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed
Must have a driver’s license
Physically able to lift heavy shipments and products between 50 to 70 lbs
Flexibility with working hours

The salary range for this role is $75,000 - $85,000 per year plus bonus.
