Position Summary:
As the Warehouse & Inventory Control Supervisor, you will be the backbone of inventory management and warehouse operations, supporting production and shipping teams. This pivotal role demands a proactive leader who can ensure inventory accuracy, lead a small team, and drive continuous improvement in a high-paced environment. Your leadership in a manufacturing setting and ability to master our client’s ERP system will be key.
Essential Responsibilities:
Elevate inventory-related processes, fostering a culture of discipline and accountability
Lead warehouse employees, managing receiving, storing, and moving inventory
Organize the warehouse to support growing capacity needs
Maintain and improve cycle count programs and address inventory discrepancies
Take charge of quarterly and yearly physical inventory activities
Collaborate with the supply chain team on VMI Hardware program and non-inventoried supplies
Ensure parts availability, report issues, and assist with root cause analysis
Train for Shipping Supervisor and Production Supervisor roles, acting as a backup when needed
Optimize warehouse and production layout for better efficiency
Manage relationships with offsite warehouse partners and coordinate product movement
Strive to become an expert in IQMS, our client’ s ERP System and inventory management
Proactively identify and solve operational challenges
Promote a safety-first work environment, encouraging proactive hazard identification and care
Requirements and Qualifications:
Associates degree or technical school certification OR 5+ years in manufacturing and operations, preferably in automotive inventory control
Availability for regular shift hours: 9:30am-6pm M-F (flexible if needed)
Adaptability to varied daily tasks, from counting and building parts to managing people and projects
Strong problem-solving abilities and resilience under pressure
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Experience with stand-up forklifts, ERP systems, CNC, scan guns, and Office 365 is a plus
