Job Summary

The VP, Strategic Marketing role focuses on defining and executing comprehensive marketing strategies to drive growth across multiple market segments. This position plays a crucial role in enabling our sales team to promote Surescripts solutions effectively.

Responsibilities

Develop annual, measurable marketing goals aligned with revenue targets, forecasting two years ahead.

Create and adjust product and segment marketing plans throughout the year, ensuring alignment across all functions.

Present strategic marketing plans annually to executive leaders involved in growth initiatives.

Coordinate with product and segment marketing teams to craft tailored messages and strategies for each target audience.

Lead the Marketing Leadership Team by providing clear product and segment priorities that guide downstream marketing activities.

Conduct research to identify market needs for each product area, aligning value propositions with specific target segments.

Analyze competitive landscape to develop sales tools and messages that enhance market competitiveness.

Articulate clear product messages and highlight Surescripts' unique value propositions.

Oversee network build requirements across markets to support targeted initiatives.

Collaborate with downstream marketing teams to execute plans for new products, enhancements, upgrades, and performance improvements.

Develop and execute sales enablement programs that align with product and segment messaging.

Define and manage key marketing metrics in collaboration with marketing operations.

Provide leadership to segment and partner marketing teams, ensuring strategies generate business growth and increase adoption within existing segments.

Foster team capabilities and develop effective nurture campaigns and Account-Based Marketing programs.

Manage the budget for product and segment marketing activities.

Coordinate annual sales meetings, collaborating with the events team to ensure impactful experiences.

Provide competitive intelligence and messaging to internal teams, guiding differentiation strategies and competitive positioning.

Maintain customer relationships and stay updated on market trends to drive research initiatives that support business growth.

Network and build relationships with key customers and associations.

Partner with senior leadership to manage the Network Alliance Advisory Council.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

12+ years of progressive experience in B2B marketing, including leadership roles.

Strong background in sales enablement and team development aligned with product and segment messaging.

Experience with sales tools, messaging training, and competitor analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree.

Significant experience in healthcare information technology market.

Salary Range

Base pay range: $227,500 - $278,100 per year, plus comprehensive benefits.
