Position Summary

The VP of Services & Commercial Strategy will lead our delivery offering and spearhead the development and execution of comprehensive commercial strategies that align our business objectives, market opportunities, and services delivery capabilities. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of market dynamics, client needs, and business development as well as a thorough understanding of digital product design and development consultancies. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of driving growth, managing high-performing teams, and fostering strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement commercial strategies for the Services team that drive business growth, market expansion, and increased revenue.
  • Services Leadership: Manage the Services leadership team, ensuring alignment with overall company strategy and objectives, driving alignment of cohesive services delivery to execute against company strategies, and providing leadership direction for expanding the company’s services and capability offering to achieve strategy growth goals.
  • Client Relationship Leadership: Provide leadership accountability and direction that ensures project teams execute programs effectively in service of meeting critical client and market needs. Maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring their needs are met and identifying opportunities for additional business, in order to continually innovate and improve the Services offering.
  • Commercial Analysis: Lead the development and use of market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats relative to the positioning and capabilities of the company’s services. Adjust strategies accordingly to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Growth Leadership: Direct and enhance the Services team’s collaboration with Business Development and Marketing functions to optimize the effectiveness and efficiency of awareness-building efforts and pursuit execution with strategies and key positioning attributes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, people, operations, and finance to ensure cohesive and effective operations.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, develop, and operationalize a high-performance culture focused on achieving business objectives.
  • Team Planning: Oversee forecasting and team growth plans for the Services teams. Ensure alignment with organizational financial goals.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in a leadership position in commercial strategy, business development, or a related field, specifically in the technology or digital consulting field.
  • Leadership: Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams. Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and develop comprehensive business plans. Experience in market analysis and competitive strategy.
  • Data-Driven & Process Rigor: Proven comfort and leadership using data and rigorous process to ensure consistent and timely execution.
  • Client Focus: Strong client relationship management skills with a track record of building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to articulate complex strategies and concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
