Job Description
Ares is currently searching for a highly motivated, detail-oriented team player to join as a Vice President on the Public Markets Investor Relations team primarily supporting Ares Commercial Real Estate (ACRE) while also supporting special projects for Ares Management (ARES) and other current and future Ares public market companies. This individual will be a leading contributor to and have ownership for:
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree from a top school with a minimum of 5 years of related work experience
Required Experience: At least 5+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in equity research, valuation, accounting, investment banking, investment management or management consulting

Compensation
The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus. Note, the range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.
$175,000 - $200,000

This individual will be a leading contributor to and have ownership for:
- messaging and analysis which includes preparation of materials (such as earnings scripts, presentations, quantitative analyses, written responses and talking points)
- market and competitor assessments for internal constituencies (including the management and Boards of Directors) and external constituencies (including investors, research analysts and rating agencies).
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree from a top school with a minimum of 5 years of related work experience
Required Experience: At least 5+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in equity research, valuation, accounting, investment banking, investment management or management consulting
General Requirements
- Strong corporate finance and accounting skills
- Commercial Real Estate experience a significant plus
- Possess a strong work ethic and ability to learn quickly to contribute to a team-oriented environment
- Exceptional Excel and PowerPoint capabilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and represent the Firm in a professional manner
- Attention to detail, placing a high priority on accuracy and organization
- Problem solver with ability to research solutions and suggest resolutions
- Demonstrated experience working in a team environment with multiple tasks
- Motivated with the ability to set priorities, multitask, and monitor own workload to meet aggressive deadlines
- Demonstrated strong academic performance
