VP Product Management in San Antonio TX-Full Time

As Senior Product Manager, you will have full ownership of the company's products. The product provides innovative, proactive protection to network resources by preventing attackers from performing reconnaissance of high-value and mission-critical network assets and by denying them the ability to communicate anonymously.

As the product owner, you will work closely with existing and potential customers to define the management products and their roadmap, ultimately resulting in growing the business. You will go far beyond listening to customers and gathering requirements; you will understand the competition, market trends, technology trends and to find ways to leverage our organization to find a winning path. Once you pick a product direction, you will be convince both external and internal audiences. You will work closely with different internal organizations and take responsibility for things that are outside your span of control.

Responsiblities

• Developing the product concept
• Work closely with the sales team to engage with key customers and partners
• Gathering requirements from customers
• Winning customer loyalty
• Benchmarking the competition
• Assist in developing the marketing plan
• Writing clear, comprehensive, & prioritized requirements (PRD)
• Developing a market-leading roadmap
• Engaging with and providing guidance to the product development team
• Make vs. buy decisions for key technologies
• Writing white papers that lay out the end-to-end solution
• Creating data sheets and high-impact product presentations
• Engaging with technical teams at customers
• Creating a business case for the product
• Establishing product pricing with appropriate rationale
• Managing the product lifecycle
• Work with the Office of the CTO to ensure alignment with Technology Strategy and sharing lessons learned
• Cross-functional project management
• Strong technical acumen
  
  

Professional Experience

• 7+ years experience with network security products
• 3+ years experience in product management for networking systems
• 3+ years experience in product management for software as a service (SaaS) or cloud-based offerings
• Experience in guiding development of easy-to-use UIs
• Deep knowledge of wireline and wireless protocols and products
• Mobile wireless industry experience preferred
• Experience with virtualization a plus
  
  

Education

• BS in EE/CS
• MBA or equivalent business experience/education
