Job Description:

Position is also eligible for hire in our New York office.

Rakuten International oversees 7 businesses with over 4,000 employees globally. Our teams deliver on the company’s mission to delight merchants and customers through innovation, optimism, and teamwork.

Collective Voice is opening the influencer world to all storytellers. Through technology, relationships, and education, we give our creators a space where they can grow and flourish, and we give marketers the opportunity to connect with creators that will fuel their brands. (You could call it a win-win.) Influencer marketing is estimated to be a $16b industry in 2022, which makes this an incredibly exciting time to join the Collective Voice team and be part of the greater Rakuten organization. As we continue to grow, we’re committed to maintaining the positive candor, encouragement, grit, and fun vibes that make this team so special. If you’re game for contributing to a team that has built on years of exceptional growth and now stepping into the role of full-blown industry leader, well – we’d love to hear from you.

Collective Voice is looking for an analytical, entrepreneurial, and creative Vice President of Product Management to help us grow our creator marketing business. Reporting to the GM, you will be responsible for leading a team that owns the strategy, roadmap, and development of our product portfolio including our creator and retailer facing tools, as well as our internal systems.

Candidates should have a refined data-driven approach to product development, exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills, and display an ability to balance multiple competing priorities while maintaining a rapid pace of product delivery. This means owning, managing and especially analyzing our existing products to identify both growth opportunities as well as products that needs to be tweaked, changed or retired.

You will work closely with stakeholders across the business (business development, creator management, marketing, campaign management and business operations) as well as partner with our engineering team to lead appropriate prioritization and tradeoff discussions. This requires strong cross-functional collaboration skills, negotiating amongst a variety of business requirements and building consensus when competing priorities exist to ensure we execute on our vision and mission at Collective Voice.

To be successful in this role you should have a passion for the creator space, with deep knowledge of how creators interact with platforms, what they want from retailers and what is happening in the competitive space. You will be expected to take this knowledge and transform it into our strategic vision as well as communicate widely within the business about how we will achieve our goals. This is a pivotal role in the organization and a strong desire to see creators and retailers alike succeed at Collective Voice is a must.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Collective Voice leadership team to ensure a robust product vision and roadmap is set and adhered to across the organization.
  • Think strategically and continually evangelize that strategy throughout the business.

    • How to differentiate our products from competition
    • How to build compelling and remarkable products for our creators, retailers AND our own internal team
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders - GM’s, engineering and cross functional leaders to develop strategic product planning and prioritization OKRs and longer term investment plans.
    • Represent product management at the executive level while working well with your peers.
    • Empower PMs in the organization to work effectively and get things done.
    • Foster a strong product culture that focuses on the importance of execution - relying on continuous, rapid testing and learning.
    • Develop processes needed to run product development efficiently, prioritize product decisions, and launch products. This includes experience with multi-function go-to-market planning, writing simple product requirement documents and navigating cross-functional input and trade-offs for products.
