Position Purpose

The VP, Private Wealth is an external wholesaler who is responsible for delivering the highest caliber of sales efforts in their assigned territory in order to maximize sales of real asset investment products. Primary focus is on RIAs and Family Offices .

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop relationships with top wealth advisory firms and HNW investors. Recruit new advisors and strengthen relationships with existing CIM investors.
  • Provide follow up information as requested. Maintain contact with advisors and keep them up to date on products. Offer information, ideas and other material required to move the relationship and production levels forward.
  • Create and maintain proactive relationships with key wealth advisor firms in the territory by through call campaigns and communication.
  • Maintain territorial database and report on advisor status.
  • Conduct office meetings and ensure a full calendar of appointments when traveling within the territory.
  • Maintain open communication with the internal wholesaler, which can include daily review of the sales numbers or an end of day voicemail/e-mail market-wrap including information on calls for literature follow up, meetings, conference or seminar requests and any other topics that impact the territory.
  • Conduct weekly meetings to review the past week and outline initiatives for the coming week. Follow through on territorial marketing campaigns.
  • Educate advisors in the wholesaler’s territory as to how CIM is approaching various risk/return opportunities in the current market environment.
  • Read and report on assigned industry journals. Provide timely information and investment ideas from these journals to the management.
  • Provide efficient and timely reports for sales activity and expense reimbursement.

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field required, MBA a strong plus
  • Series 7 and 63 licenses required
  • 8+ years previous work experience as an external wholesaler
  • CAIA preferred
  • Alternative investments experience preferred
