What You Get To Do

In this key leadership role, you will lead and manage all aspects of operations, including guest arrival, rides and attractions, operations revenue, landscape, grounds and custodial services, environmental health and safety, and security operations. In all you do, you will be focused on advancing safety, guest focus and team member motivation. You will:

  • Provide strategic leadership and goal setting for our multi-faceted operations
  • Develop strategies to ensure team member safety and engagement
  • Lead ongoing guest satisfaction improvement efforts
  • Leverage global theme park industry trends to innovate unique new product ideas
  • Collaborate with Corporate on research, development and implementation of park operations
  • Oversee the creation and management of expense/capital budgets
  • Meet operations budget/revenue targets and maintain financial compliance
  • Serve as senior management representation to varied stakeholders
  • Partner with senior leadership as well as community boards/committees
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with Ambassadors, vendors and our guests
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What It Takes To Succeed

  • Related Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Ten or more years of theme park experience
  • Five or more years of ride operations experience
  • Five or more years of senior management/leadership experience
  • Expertise in the development and operation of large thrill rides
  • Extensive operations background in tourism, theme park operations or related field
  • Solid experience in logistics and high-volume guest operations management
  • Exceptional communication, presentation and project-management abilities
  • Experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets
  • Strong technical knowledge of ride operations, ticketing and admissions systems
  • High-level business acumen
  • Working knowledge of industry developments and trends
  • Superior leadership, motivational and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays

What Else Is Important

  • Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights, if needed
  • You will perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing)
  • Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat
  • Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors and cold/heat temperature extremes
  • Will perform cleaning duties; including use of cleaning chemicals
  • Will work flexible schedules/hours based on business needs, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts; nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be flexible in work locations as placement will depend on business needs and career development opportunities
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills; able to read, write and speak English.

Compensation

  • Starting Rate - $130,000-$145,000 Annually + bonus & equity
