VP of Talent

Job Summary:

The Vice President of Talent Acquisition will report directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer and spearhead the global talent acquisition strategy. The role focuses on enhancing candidate awareness of the company's brand, ensuring a distinctive recruitment experience, and cultivating a diverse pipeline of high-performing talent to support corporate positions across various functions. This position collaborates closely with senior leadership, serving as a strategic partner in attracting and retaining top talent through effective employer branding strategies.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute key talent acquisition strategies, encompassing the entire candidate lifecycle from sourcing to career path planning.
  • Drive employer branding and candidate experience initiatives aligned with company objectives.
  • Lead, inspire, and support the talent acquisition team in their professional development and performance.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to maintain consistent employer branding and deliver compelling candidate experiences.
  • Educate and coach hiring managers on recruiting best practices, talent pool awareness, and adherence to company hiring policies and values.
  • Establish selection criteria and capabilities to ensure high-quality hires and promote workplace diversity.
  • Recruit for diverse roles, including Merchandising, Planning, E-commerce, Design, Marketing, and Retail positions.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the recruiting program and establish talent acquisition KPIs.
  • Partner with Talent Management to identify talent gaps and build appropriate pipelines.
  • Develop and manage relationships with external recruitment firms and oversee visa sponsorships and relocation processes.
  • Manage applicant tracking resources and implement cost-conscious recruiting strategies.
  • Strengthen relationships with educational institutions and oversee internship programs.
  • Oversee temporary/consultant programs and engage in ad hoc projects as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 15 years of talent acquisition experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Experience in the retail and/or fashion industry is preferred.
  • International exposure is advantageous.
  • Proficient understanding of Retail Fashion business and recruiting within the industry.
  • Executive presence with resilience and adaptability in dynamic environments.
  • Strategic mindset with a focus on capability building.
  • Strong leadership skills to foster collaboration and team cohesion.
  • Familiarity with ATS systems, social media platforms, and recruiting workflows.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build trust with internal and external stakeholders.
