Job Description

Our client is seeking a VP of Supply Chain to join their team. The VP of Supply Chain is an integral role, responsible for the overall management and optimization of supply chain operations, including developing and implementing supply chain strategies, establishing and monitoring KPIs, market analysis and strategic sourcing initiatives, managing relationships with key suppliers, and providing leadership to the supply chain organization

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and implement supply chain strategies and initiatives that align with overall business objectives, vision and quality pillars
  • Provide leadership and vision to the supply chain organization
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers to negotiate favorable supply agreements based on optimal cost, service and risk
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs by standardizing processes and leveraging common materials and best practices across the enterprise
  • Establish, monitor and report service level goals, key performance indicators, and customer satisfaction criteria for supply chain operations, transportation services and strategic sourcing
  • Analyze supply market conditions and develop strategic sourcing initiatives that mitigate risk and decrease volatility, including tactics to mitigate inflationary pressures
  • Maintain Supply Chain fiscal policy and budget. Develop and maintain cost effective supply chain management procedures
  • Define, plan and implement strategic projects and initiatives on time and within budget
  • Develops and manages the supply chain organization to leverage talent, promote career growth and drive continuous improvement
  • Supports operations by developing policies and processes that provide continuity of supply of materials and services through effective sourcing and risk management
  • Manages working capital related to investments in materials/services through effective cost-down and inventory management practices
  • Provides negotiation expertise to support strategic sourcing initiatives
  • Develop, lead and support transportation/logistics strategies and activities
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations and ethical standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field
  • MBA preferred
  • Certification in Supply Chain or Procurement (CSCP, CIPS, CPSM) is a plus
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain
  • Deep understanding of ERP/MRP and other supply chain systems
  • Strong familiarity with Lean principles, risk management tools and procurement best practices
  • Strategic thinker with strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal, presentation, and planning skills
  • Advanced user-level capability with all Microsoft Office Software, specifically Excel & PowerPoint
