Vice President of Operations
Division: Executive
Reports to: CEO
Summary
Ensure efficient operations of all manufacturing facilities by evaluating plant’s cost, quality and service performance. Provide engineering and technical guidance to implement new manufacturing strategies, processes and improvements to help exceed business goals. Responsible for the performance of all department functions, including Manufacturing, Research and Development, Engineering, and Quality Management.

Summary
Ensure efficient operations of all manufacturing facilities by evaluating plant’s cost, quality and service performance. Provide engineering and technical guidance to implement new manufacturing strategies, processes and improvements to help exceed business goals. Responsible for the performance of all department functions, including Manufacturing, Research and Development, Engineering, and Quality Management.
Primary Responsibilities
- Continue to drive safety culture by ensuring safe working conditions and regulation adherence.
- Leads the operations and production teams to achieve targeted key performance indicators.
- Establishing and implementing process and reporting of Objectives and Key Results for both facilities.
- Attract, retain and develop a high-performing manufacturing team.
- Develops and monitors the overall organizational structure of Operations to ensure exceptional service and quality.
- Provides guidance and oversight in preparation of project understandings, schedules, budgets, fee proposals and negotiations.
- Establishes an ongoing process improvement program to ensure operational efficiency.
- Leads engineering initiatives to improve manufacturing capabilities, implementation of new equipment and development of current processes.
- Works with HR and Executives to ensure there is firm-wide development and training strategy for all personnel.
- Ensures quality processes are in place for all departments.
- Identify and deliver new business opportunities.
- Monthly site visits to the Phoenix plant.
- Participate in revenue generation activities, including but not limited to obtaining new leads, contract negotiations and product pricing.
- Develop and implement long-term business strategy in conjunction with Executive members.
- Define and recommend objectives in each area of Operations. Develop specific long-term and short-term plans to meet these objectives.
- Continue to be “hands-on” leader with Columbus Plant.
- Work in conjunction with all departments to ensure maximum profitability.
- Develop and implement proactive cost cutting measures.
- Accessible during non-business hours or as required by workload.
