VP of Logistics and Operations
Responsibilities
Kforce's client in the Milwaukee, WI area is looking for a VP of Logistics and Operations. This position is Onsite. Summary: In this role, you will be responsible for all elements and aspects of operations (direct report and cross functional) including but not limited to the Distribution Center, Materials/Purchasing, and Plant/Equipment. Direct reports include Distribution Center Manager, Purchasing Manager, and Logistics Specialist. This role reports to the Owner/President. Responsibilities:

- Collaboratively renews and develops the strategic plan of the company; The purpose of the plan is to advance the company's mission and objectives and to promote revenue, profitability, stability, and the growth of the organization
- Builds the operational and logistics teams and ensures that team members are properly placed, have appropriately assigned tasks, and are competent to perform their assigned job duties
- Makes timely changes as necessary to ensure high level of performance and achieve success
- Directs the Engineering, DC, and Purchasing Managers as they develop departmental expense plans in alignment with corporate objectives
- Follow-up as required to ensure that the objectives of profit, timeliness and quality are met
- Analyzes financial statements and determines adherence to budgets, developing and executing corrective action plans where needed
- Minimum of a College degree
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience at the management level in distribution or logistics management
- Has a solid understanding of how to manage a business enterprise including a strong background in finance, accounting, statistics, and process management
- Has history of engineering and manufacturing management, including good/functional knowledge of engineering processes and standards, BOM's, manufacturing processes and standards
- Previous experience in marketing and sales is beneficial
