Responsibilities

Kforce's client in the Milwaukee, WI area is looking for a VP of Logistics and Operations. This position is Onsite. Summary: In this role, you will be responsible for all elements and aspects of operations (direct report and cross functional) including but not limited to the Distribution Center, Materials/Purchasing, and Plant/Equipment. Direct reports include Distribution Center Manager, Purchasing Manager, and Logistics Specialist. This role reports to the Owner/President. Responsibilities:

  • Collaboratively renews and develops the strategic plan of the company; The purpose of the plan is to advance the company's mission and objectives and to promote revenue, profitability, stability, and the growth of the organization
  • Builds the operational and logistics teams and ensures that team members are properly placed, have appropriately assigned tasks, and are competent to perform their assigned job duties
  • Makes timely changes as necessary to ensure high level of performance and achieve success
  • Directs the Engineering, DC, and Purchasing Managers as they develop departmental expense plans in alignment with corporate objectives
  • Follow-up as required to ensure that the objectives of profit, timeliness and quality are met
  • Analyzes financial statements and determines adherence to budgets, developing and executing corrective action plans where needed

Requirements

  • Minimum of a College degree
  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience at the management level in distribution or logistics management
  • Has a solid understanding of how to manage a business enterprise including a strong background in finance, accounting, statistics, and process management
  • Has history of engineering and manufacturing management, including good/functional knowledge of engineering processes and standards, BOM's, manufacturing processes and standards
  • Previous experience in marketing and sales is beneficial

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.

Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
