The Vice President of Quality Assurance will be responsible for the strategic leadership and directional oversight of the Global Quality Assurance function. In collaboration with Supply Chain, R&D, and Marketing, the Vice President of Quality Assurance is responsible for ensuring that our teams meet our high safety and compliance standards, deliver superior quality, and exceed their expectations.


The role requires an executive leader who can effectively navigate the complexities of a process-driven organization, drive organizational change, and elevate the cultural value of quality to a level of prominence and recognition on par with other strategic priorities within the Company. This pivotal role demands an individual with a proven track record in quality management, experience leading transformational change and organizational design, as well as a deep understanding of industry regulations, quality standards and established best practices.


The Vice President of Quality Assurance will play a critical role in transforming and optimizing the Company's global quality assurance strategy, delivering operational excellence, and enhancing quality standards across the organization.


This individual will be a dynamic leader with a passion for excellence and innovation in quality assurance, and the ability to foster a culture where quality is a fundamental principle, deeply embedded within the organization at all levels.


Key Responsibilities:


Quality Assurance Strategy:

  • Refine and execute a comprehensive global quality strategy that ensures that the integrity and quality of our products meet and exceed the highest standards of safety and compliance and position quality its transformation as top strategic priority within the Company.
  • Develop and lead communication initiatives to drive cultural change by establishing quality as a core capability embedded within the organizational culture, where quality is valued, prioritized, and integrated throughout the Company. Collaborate with senior leadership and other business leaders to advocate the value of quality and foster a unified culture of quality excellence across all levels of the organization.
  • Continuously assess and refine quality assurance strategies and communication initiatives, ensuring adaptability and responsiveness to changing organizational and business needs.


Strategic Leadership and Organizational Development:

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight to the Global Quality Assurance function, setting clear direction and priorities that are aligned with the Company’s values and promoting a culture of quality excellence.
  • Design and implement an enterprise-wide organizational structure and quality governance
  • lop standard processes and data management solutions to effectively track and trend critical parameters, leveraging data-driven insights and quality performance metrics.
  • Integrate emerging technologies and digital solutions with current data and technology models to enhance quality assurance processes, streamline operations, and improve decision-making capabilities.


Stakeholder Engagement in Quality Assurance:

  • Serve as the company’s number-one visible champion of quality, setting the standards, celebrating success, and being unflinching about our shortcomings.
  • Serve as a key advisor to leadership, providing strategic guidance and insights on all quality-related matters to inform decision-making, improve risk management practices, and drive quality enhancements throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality considerations are integrated into all stages of the product lifecycle, from development through post-market surveillance.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, regulatory agencies, industry forums, and relevant trade groups, representing the companies interests and commitment to quality and compliance.


Risk Mitigation Leadership:

  • Provide oversight and direction for all quality-related risk management practices in an effort to proactively address potential threats to product quality and provide appropriate solutions that address business needs and are aligned with the Company’s core values.
  • Develop and implement robust risk mitigation processes across all relevant aspects of quality assurance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business leaders to integrate risk mitigation considerations into product design, process development, manufacturing, and product supply practices.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk mitigation measures, adjusting as necessary to maintain alignment with organizational objectives and industry best practices.


Minimum Requirements:

  • 15+ years of relevant quality experience within a corporate environment, including at least 10 years in a progressive quality leadership role. (required)
  • Extensive knowledge of global quality assurance principles, practices, and methodologies, with a strong emphasis on GMPs and other relevant regulatory standards within the consumer goods industry. (required)
  • Demonstrated experience in leading quality transformation initiatives and driving cultural change. (required)


Education Level:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical, engineering, or other scientific related discipline.
  • Advanced degree highly preferred.
