VICE PRESIDENT OF ECOMMERCE

Overview: GrowGeneration is one of the largest retailers of hydroponic products in the United States and is engaged in the business of marketing and distributing horticultural, organics, lighting, and hydroponics products, including lighting fixtures, nutrients, seeds and growing media, systems, trays, fans, filters, humidifiers and dehumidifiers, timers, instruments, water pumps, irrigation supplies and hand tools.

Position Reports To: PRESIDENT

Salary Range: $180K-$200K / DOE

Posting to remain open until at least July 5, 2024.

Purpose of Position: Oversee the company’s e-commerce strategies, manage the online product portfolio, improve customer experience, drive sales growth, and maximize visibility across all the company’s e-commerce websites while developing and implementing advanced digital marketing strategies in SEO and Paid Search, leveraging analytics to optimize campaigns, and enhancing user engagement and conversions.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute the strategic vision for all e-commerce functions, ensuring alignment with the company’s growth objectives.
  • Oversee the management of all e-commerce platforms, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance user experience, increase conversion rates, and boost online customer engagement.
  • Manage P&L for all e-commerce activities, including setting budgets, monitoring expenses, and forecasting sales growth.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to coordinate digital marketing campaigns that drive traffic and sales.
  • Analyze market trends and customer insights to identify new opportunities for product offerings and promotional tactics.
  • Establish metrics and KPIs to assess performance of the e-commerce platforms and initiatives.
  • Lead a team of e-commerce professionals and collaborate closely with IT, customer service, logistics, and sales departments to ensure cohesive operations.
  • Negotiate and manage relationships with vendors, third-party service providers, and platform providers.
  • Ensure compliance with online retail regulations and maintain high standards for data privacy and security.
  • Develop comprehensive digital marketing strategies across Paid Search (SEM) and Search Engine Optimization (SEO), including both tactical execution and strategic planning.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for channel performance, setting and managing expectations with internal stakeholders about business impacts and cross-channel integration.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) like ROAS, conversion rates, website traffic, and overall demand to continually refine marketing efforts.
  • Innovate and implement content strategies that enhance engagement, brand awareness, and customer conversions, aligning with current cultural trends.
  • Direct and optimize influencer marketing initiatives aimed at audience acquisition, retention, and expansion.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in e-commerce, with at least 4 years in a leadership role managing a multi-functional team.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful e-commerce strategies that have significantly increased company revenue.
  • Expert understanding of B2B and how to maximize partnerships
  • Strong technical understanding of e-commerce platforms and architecture, preferably with experience in Magento or similar CMS.
  • Expertise in digital marketing, including SEO, PPC, email marketing, and social media advertising.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver measurable SEO results and a profound understanding of search engine dynamics.
  • Expertise in Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other vital SEO tools.
  • Excellent analytical skills related to Amazon with the ability to interpret extensive data to make actionable decisions.
  • Excellent quantitative, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in hiring, training, and motivating a high-performing team.
  • Experience in client-facing roles with exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
