POSITION SUMMARY


A leader with strong vision, responsible for leading all marketing creative direction and messaging, providing clear direction to the Creative Services team, and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams on themes and messaging to engage the customer and drive sales through images, copy, and design.


This position works collaboratively with the Product Design Team to identify brand-right product, actively shaping the development and direction of the brand.


This role is responsible for directing a cohesive, aligned brand message across all channels of business, such as DTC, trade, collaborations, licensing, on-product branding, socials, and PR and aligns the organizational communications and messaging with the brand, both internally and externally.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB


Provide creative direction for brand marketing in all channels including ecommerce, catalog, trade accounts and sales, retail stores, social channels, marketing messages, and internal communications. Provide feedback for creative projects, using analysis, industry insight, and experience to ensure high quality production.


Create and build excitement around seasonal and annual creative briefs, direct the overall quality, innovation, and vision of the creative services team, ensuring a high quality execution across all media and campaigns.


Develop overall public relations and marketing strategies, translating general marketing objectives into clear, actionable projects and advise on potential collaboration partnerships.


Create and maintain an environment of collaboration within the creative, merchandising, and marketing teams, responsive to company’s needs.


Oversees deliverables, leads team to meet all timelines.


Builds and owns the budget for creative services team.


Manages and leads creative reviews and presentations, presenting concepts and narratives for senior management and cross functional teams to influence business and creative decisions.

Deep understanding of the Pendleton brand, values, image, and voice. Comprehension and fluency in the multi-layered channels of branding.


Understanding of core skills and steps necessary to execute briefs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in creative leadership role for multi-channel brand or retailer, specializing in fashion, home, and consumer products.
  • A strong portfolio, including finished product and creative briefs, demonstrating a passion and understanding of apparel and home markets and the ability to execute vision.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, merchandising, business, or other related field.
  • Superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication abilities.



SYSTEM QUALIFICATIONS


Up to date skills in Adobe CS programs, including Acrobat, Photoshop, and InDesign as well as MS Office skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
