AdventHealth is seeking qualified candidates for Vice President of Home Health located in Orlando, Florida.

General Summary

Develops and collaborates with Population Health leaders in creating care pathways based on analytics and best practice standards and leveraging Home Health Services to bring value to populations served. Oversees and drives quality initiatives that improve outcomes and experience for those we serve.

  • Actively supports Divisional and Market CEOs to support services and business units as an advocate and leader for clinical integration (i.e., Finance, Clinical, People, Strategy, and Learning).
  • Maintains a high level of professionalism, exemplifying role model status. Participates in teaching opportunities as applicable. Plans and develops a complete succession plan for rollup up to and including own position. Identifies high performing staff and works with Leadership Development and Talent Management to groom staff to meet succession plan timelines and curriculum. Actively mentor’s others into the leadership roles throughout the timeline. Reviews succession plan at least annually and during performance review period.
  • Demonstrates support of AdventHealth policies, procedures, and guidelines to remain in accordance with requirements for employment, including, but not limited to compliance policy and procedures, fire and safety regulations, hospital dress code. Responsible for maintaining compliance with all local, state and federal laws regarding home health care and all CMS or other appropriate regulatory guidelines. Rounds with employees on a regular basis, engaging staff and leading on maintaining environment of safety.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Broad knowledge of home-based care models and operational models
  • Knowledge of clinical practices and processes, legal and regulatory requirements and mandates, and the ability to gather and evaluate data and outcome results to use in planning hospital operations, budgets, and process improvement.
  • Knowledge of healthcare as well as current and future healthcare trends
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Able to effectively express ideas and views through public speaking, presentations, reports, and professional correspondence.
  • Exceptional people management, leadership skills, and the capacity to relate to people in a manner that wins confidence and establishes support.
  • Strategic vision and thinking. Ability to position the organization for the future, looking beyond the present situation to conceptualize key trends and identify changing market demands.
  • Strong business acumen, intelligence, and capacity; able to think strategically and implement tactically.
  • Approaches his/her work as an interconnected system. Ability to understand major objectives and break them down into meaningful action steps.
  • Strong organizational abilities and the flexibility to adjust to changing conditions and the various details of the position.
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office suite.

Education, Experience, And Licensure REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing
  • Ten (10 years of healthcare leadership experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive management responsibilities within healthcare leadership, preferably within an acute care, ambulatory or post-acute setting
  • Extensive experience facilitating and managing challenging situations, including conflict resolution and demonstration of outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Experience in facilitating high-level multidisciplinary group decisions
  • Active nursing license in one or more of the states AdventHealth currently serves

Education, Experience And Licensure Preferred

  • Master’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration or clinical specialty.
  • Strategic planning and/or working with nursing administration.
  • Previous executive level acute care leadership experience, e.g., executive director, CNO, COO, CMO
  • Minimum of 5 years leading at director level or above in one or more post-acute care modality: (IRF, LTACH, SNF, Home Health, Hospice)
