Candidates must be located in Chicago, Austin, Detroit or Denver metro areas. For individuals based in our Michigan and Illinois locations, this will be a hybrid role, requiring both in-office and remote work. For candidates in Texas and Colorado, this position will be fully remote.

VP, Growth (Business Development)

Fusion92 is looking for an entrepreneurial-minded VP of Growth to lead our new business efforts and drive growth across our service offerings. This is a leadership role, focused on expanding our client base and enhancing our market presence through strategic business development and innovative go-to-market strategies.

The VP of Growth will direct the development and execution of new business plans, and processes to drive sales, increase revenue, and expand markets. They will identify and evaluate new partners, channels, and customers while developing a pipeline of prospects and contacts. In addition, this role is responsible for evaluating, qualifying, and crafting differentiated proposals that increase Fusion92’s market presence. This position demands a strategic thinker with a proven ability to influence, build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers. This role reports to the President of Growth.

What You'll Do



Revenue Enablement

  • Develop and implement growth strategies for new client acquisition and revenue across multiple product offerings.
  • Lead the sales cycle from opportunity identification to deal closure, ensuring critical resource allocation and collaboration.
  • Forecast revenue based on sales funnel insights and expertise, refining the acquisition playbook for best-in-class conversion.
  • Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and manage strategic business opportunities, building consensus across internal stakeholders.
  • Cultivate business relationships through networking, industry events, and outbound marketing.
  • Refine the acquisition playbook for lead generation, pipeline management, closing, and forecasting to drive best-in-class growth conversion

Process Architecture & Metrics

  • Guide the design and development of a reliable new business architecture, including tools, systems, and processes to drive growth.
  • Define and implement operational metrics and KPIs that measure, optimize, and continually improve the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing tactics, strategies and win/loss rates.
  • Maintain productive relationships with pitch consultants and other key ecosystem partners to drive leads.
  • Track and report on key performance metrics, ensuring continuous improvement and optimization of growth strategies.
  • Create and present compelling proposals that highlight Fusion92's capabilities in marketing transformation, including digital experience, product, data solutions, marketing technologies, media, content, and campaigns.
  • Leverage client insights to create and drive differentiated value propositions in agency proposals.

Collaboration & Networking

  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure we are optimizing customer value and alignment on growth objectives.
  • Work with finance and Client Service leads to help shape competitive proposals that demonstrate the value of Fusion92's offerings in marketing transformation, including digital experience, product, data solutions, marketing technologies, media, content, campaigns, and shopper marketing for standout brands. Strive to accelerate negotiations to close.
  • Cultivate business relationships through networking, industry events, and outbound marketing efforts.
  • Maintain productive relationships with pitch consultants and other key ecosystem partners to drive leads.
  • Energize the internal growth and product team as a thought leader in driving product strategy and vision.
  • Be a thought leader, evangelist, and spokesperson for agency products among analysts, customers, events, and PR.

Competitive Analysis & Strategy

  • Conduct and manage competitive analysis to assess the company’s market position and develop recommendations for strategies and tactics.
  • Guide product marketing investment and sales enablement ensuring alignment, prioritized resource planning, allocation, and optimization of best-in-class product marketing materials.

Requirements

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, marketing, advertising, technology sales, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Ability to sell digitally native marketing strategies, data-driven marketing, performance media, social, andmartech capabilitie
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful growth strategies, generating business opportunities and driving business to a close.
  • Experience in marketing to enterprise business and technical decision-makers.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically to drive business growth.
  • Proven ability to measure success through clear KPIs and metrics

The hiring range for this discipline is $140,000 to $175,000

 . Where an employee is paid within this range will depend on multiple factors including, but not limited to location, years of experience, education, internal pay structure, and other contributing factors.
