This role will be responsible for setting a global manufacturing strategy about capacity, efficiency, quality, cost, and delivery performance, and ensuring execution against that strategy.


General Purpose:

  • Corsair and its associated family of brands (SCUF Gaming, Origin PC, Elgato, DROP) are looking for a vice president to support their multiple manufacturing facilities around the world and approximately 1,000 manufacturing employees staffing those facilities.
  • This role will be responsible for setting a global manufacturing strategy about capacity, efficiency, quality, cost, and delivery performance, and ensuring execution against that strategy.
  • This role will help introduce and transition the Corsair manufacturing capabilities to leverage current manufacturing best practices, including lean manufacturing principles, automation, and new technologies to improve the consistency and scalability of operations.
  • The role requires working with cross-functional Corsair teams located globally (primarily US and Asia-based) to ensure that necessary plans, budgets, staff, facility & IT infrastructures are in place to support corporate strategic objectives.

Position Summary, Responsibilities, and Expectations:

  • Create and implement manufacturing strategies to ensure efficiency, cost, quality, and delivery objectives are met.
  • Set and manage budgets to support all company business units. Measure cost, quality, and delivery performance against budget.
  • Engage regularly at both a strategic & tactical level with engineering, planning, procurement, quality, accounting, HR, and IT departments to ensure clear alignment of goals and expectations.
  • Support business units in achieving their financial objectives with regard to internally produced products.
  • Analyzes data, identifies opportunities and leads cross-functional teams to implement robust processes utilizing structured problem-solving techniques
  • Relentlessly pursuing cost reductions through manufacturing process efficiencies, while maintaining product form, fit, function, and quality, to drive profitability
  • Works with the team on the details to define process capabilities, process instructions, operator instructions, control plans, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participates and leads operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield improvement and capability advancement
  • Stay current with manufacturing industry trends and identify and implement manufacturing best practices across all sites, including but not limited to lean manufacturing, six sigma / TQM processes, ISO standards, factory automation and other technology solutions.
  • Negotiate with key vendors, leaseholders/landlords, and other 3rd party constituents on behalf of the company for manufacturing related initiatives to improve yield and capability.
  • Create and maintain contingency plans for ongoing operations in the event of any potential significant work interruption event.
  • Create, Improve, and maintain KPIs with transparent corporate reporting to ensure key stakeholders can see performance and that both strategic and tactical decision-making can be factual and data-based.
  • Ability to simultaneously support operations globally in many regions, across many time zones. Will require routine travel between global sites and regular meetings outside of the normal work hours to accommodate the global operations.
  • Lead with a collaborative style, building bridges across both internal and external groups/functions to ensure seamless execution of manufacturing strategies, operational plans, and implementation of new processes and technologies.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or above.
  • Minimum 10-20 years in manufacturing or operations-related fields, 5-10 years in manufacturing leadership roles.
  • Based in Atlanta, GA (preferred) or Bay Area, CA
  • The candidate will be experienced with the use of statistical tools and methods for determining process capabilities, troubleshooting problems, process
  • Fluent English and excellent communication skills with other executives to shop floor operators. Mandarin language skills are a major plus.
  • Ability to translate corporate and business goals into relevant strategies and objectives for manufacturing organizations.
  • Positive personality, aggressive, passionate, independent, can deal with high pressure.
  • Hands-on and detail-oriented management style. Success in this role will require a clear involvement in the day-to-day operations of the sites, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving and process building.
  • Highly organized, analytical, and able to motivate and manage others
  • Familiar with MS Office software like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio/Project
