The Role

This position will be responsible for the company-level financial planning and analysis of ZenBusiness including the continued development, scaling, and management of the FP&A function (may include M&A). You will partner with leaders across the executive team and other parts of the business to establish robust short-term and long-term forecasts, reporting, key performance indicators, and metrics, as well as make recommendations on the strategy and business plan to drive sustainable growth.

This position will report to the CFO and is a remote role.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in formulating the company’s future direction through providing input on the company’s business plan, financial and tax strategies, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Influences high performance at the company level through developing forecasts, reporting results, analyzing variances, and providing actionable recommendations to drive improvement.
  • Effectively lead a team with a hands-on approach. Must be a self-starter.
  • Increase revenue visibility and predictability across the entire company.
  • Being a strong business partner by communicating and enabling change that drives strategy with supporting numbers.
  • Assist in developing the company’s metrics and disclosures for external audiences.
  • Establish scalable infrastructure and processes for ongoing financial reporting and forecasting of a rapidly scaling company.
  • Driving the financial planning of the company by analyzing its performance and risks.
  • Regularly perform scenario analysis and present to the executive team specific opportunities and risks identified
  • Develop and execute short- and long-range financial initiatives as a strategic leader.
  • Develop M&A valuation models and business value drives and oversee the diligence process.
  • Establish a robust planning and budgeting process for the organization.
  • Assist in managing banking relationships.
  • Ability to take complex data and find the key metrics.
  • Develop secure procedures to maintain confidential information.
  • Recommend cost structure changes that support both higher levels of profitability and future growth.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years in senior financial management positions. Some VP experience of similar or later-stage companies is preferred.
  • 5+ years of management experience, including managing, developing, and leading a finance team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
  • Master's degree in business administration, accounting, or finance preferred.
  • Proven experience leading a company through a successful IPO, exit, or fundraising.
  • Hands-on experience with budgeting and risk management.
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting models.
  • Proficiency in finance and accounting software.
  • Solid analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Experience managing a company's cash flow.
  • Deep understanding of capital markets.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Background in investment banking, equity research, or SaaS company experience.
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
  • Experience with Tableau, Anaplan, Snowflake, and Sage Intacct is a plus.
  • Experience with M&A is a plus.
  • macOS and G-Workspace knowledge is a plus.
