Position overview:

The Vice President, Executive Strategy & Impact will be a highly experienced, entrepreneurial, analytical-minded professional who is immensely curious and brings an extreme degree of discretion and professionalism to their work. This is a unique opportunity to work on a day-to-day basis with our CEO and executive leadership on a range of strategic, operational, and project-specific areas of our business. This position plays a critical role in collaborating with our CEO and the entire executive team on both strategy and execution of key strategic initiatives. The day-to-day will be a balance between strategic brainstorming, research, project management, process building, coordination, and execution.

You are an exceptional thought leader who has an impressive operational and organizational background. You can keep up with a fast-paced environment that requires a lot of versatility and multi-tasking across several types of projects. You bring a combination of Process Improvement and Project Management expertise. You can identify gaps and propose solutions beginning on Day 1. You take initiative and you provide the best possible recommendations for any issues at hand. You take pride in your attention to detail and your ability to identify any foreseeable issues and propose corrective action plans. You are a confident and excellent communicator who is not afraid to ask questions, share ideas and express suggestions for the continued success of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Works directly with the CEO and executive team on a range of projects critical to the Foundation's core operations and growth.
  • Manages high priority, cross-functional projects from inception to completion.
  • Facilitates communication and collaboration across various teams.
  • Serves as thought partner to the CEO and the executive team on major strategies and initiatives.
  • Conducts market and landscape assessments for potential business lines. It is vital to help synthesize future directions, conclusions, and key actions. The individual needs to add insight and help with direction based on his/her own experiences and business acumen.
  • Partners with business intelligence and data analytics team to build out PAN impact indicators and metrics.
  • Responsible for ensuring that PAN and CEO continues to be positioned to have the greatest impact with our employees, patients, and donors. In this capacity, the role will be responsible for partnering with the CEO to establish meeting agendas, project timelines, and accountability mechanisms to ensure that follow-up actions are clearly articulated and completed.
  • Partners with the CEO to ensure he is highly prepared to drive the business forward in sessions with our Board of Directors, Executive Leadership both internal and external to PAN, and our employees. In this capacity, the VP, Executive Strategy & Impact will leverage industry and business expertise to work with stakeholders across the business and industry to synthesize information and turn it into meaningful insight to create value.
  • Anticipates opportunities and challenges that are likely to arise based on the cadence of the business and helps the CEO see around corners.
  • Serves as core leader in change management and communications, ensuring staff are well-informed and aligned to key business objectives.
  • Assists with budgets and planning cycles.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • PMP certification is strongly preferred.

Work Experience

  • A highly qualified candidate would have at least 10-15 years of proven senior leadership experience, including leading one or many areas of a complex organization.

Travel

  • Occasional travel expected-10-15%.
