When the artists began collaborating, their goal was simply to make beautiful objects to wear. Led today by their son Evan, David Yurman creates timeless jewelry collections for women and men defined by artist-inspired form, material innovation, meticulous craftsmanship and Cable – the brand’s artistic signature. David Yurman collections are available through the brand’s retail stores (50) and eComm sites throughout the United States, Canada, Hong Kong and France, and over an additional 300 locations worldwide via their exclusive network of authorized fine jewelry and timepiece retailers.

Overview

The Ecomm and Social Creative function at David Yurman plays a critical role within the Creative and Marketing teams, and the broader organization as it creates, designs DY.com and develops and actions digital conversion campaigns, as well as overseeing the brand’s social channels and developing social campaigns and assets. The David Yurman brand has enormous opportunity for continued growth, and this role will be a key player to achieve this.

The VP, Ecomm & Social Creative will oversee and lead and inspire the Ecomm Creative and Social Creative teams, focused on developing DY.com, digital conversion campaign as well as social campaigns and assets. This involves the development of DY.com, conversion ad campaigns (digital ads), digital asset creation as well as the development and execution of social campaigns across our brand social channels. The position will work cross-functionally with Integrated Marketing, Ecomm Marketing and Merchandising and the wider Creative team.

The VP Ecomm & Social Creative innately understands luxury positioning and can balance strong creative vision with business acumen, excels at creative execution and leadership skills. Candidate must be a strong business driver that is able to unlock key KPI’s across both the ecommerce and social channels. The candidate must have 10+ years in a luxury, jewelry or high-end fashion house, developing best-in-class ecommerce and social content and design that drive the business and deep knowledge of the industry. Communication, Curiosity, and Creativity are key for success in this position.

Responsibilities

Strategy, Conceptualization, Execution:

  • Develop and implement a cohesive digital strategy that aligns with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Leads and supervises the creative team in the conceptualization and execution of digital design direction for E-comm., Digital Advertising, and Social Media creative channels.
    • Site: DavidYurman.com, wholesale accounts and digital advertising in close partnership with Ecommerce Marketing team and Sr. Creative Director.
    • Social: organic handles (2) and paid advertising assets (note: develop content ideas and creative strategy for all social media channels in partnership with Social Media Marketing team and Sr. Creative Director.
    • Focus on delivering:
      • Seasonal Campaigns
      • High Traffic Moment Campaigns (e.g., Mother’s Day, Holiday etc.)
      • Refreshes (e.g., always on programming, site experiencers/enhancements)
Site:

  • Lead and direct seasonal, HTM, refresh updates (detailed above) with site concept to wireframe/UX, design and layout, including appropriate distribution channels and platforms. Create intuitive and engaging design that follows best in class UX/UI and practices to execute a world-class multi-channel experience that delivers on key KPI’s.

Digital Advertising:

  • In collaboration with Media team, oversee digital creative concepts, layouts and design to maximize media placement and brand awareness and ROI.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • In collaboration with Social Marketing team, oversee social creative concepts, layouts and design to maximize social engagement, following and brand awareness.
  • In partnership with the Senior Creative Director; concept and Art Direct relevant digital shoots for site, social an digital advertising
  • Partner with Content Studio to optimize e-commerce guidelines and PDP enhancements.
  • Oversee projects from concept development through delivery in collaboration with e-commerce, merchandising, marketing and copy departments to ensure cohesive 360 seasonal execution whilst maintaining creative integrity.
  • Partner with the offline creative team under the leadership of the Senior Creative Director to ensure cohesive seasonal narratives and expression across all creative touch points of the brand.

Management & Communication:

  • Managing digital design team daily workflows and partner with Project Managers to ensure timely execution of projects.
  • Employ resourceful, creative thinking and an ability to anticipate business needs with the expectation to work 6+ months in advance of site deployment.

Trend Identification:

  • Identify gaps in current programming and initiatives and offer recommendations on new content.

Technology and Tools Management:

  • Remain current on competitor activity and emerging trends in digital advertising, branded entertainment and technology, to bring consistently fresh thinking and “state of the art” innovations.

Brand Creativity:

  • Ensure brand consistency and integrity across all touch points, maintaining high standards of quality and creativity.
  • Manage and mentor the creative team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.

Qualifications

  • Tenure: 10+ years of experience in Ecommerce and Social Channel management, creative direction and execution with a proven track record of success in a luxury jewelry or high-end fashion or beauty brand.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, Ecommerce and UX design, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate creative concepts and strategies effectively.
  • Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of consumer behavior, market trends, and industry best practices.
  • Creative vision and ability to think outside the box, with a passion for storytelling and brand building.
  • Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Keynote, PowerPoint, Ms Office, Frame.io and other relevant design software/tools.
  • Proven track record of developing and running successful social and Ecommerce channels.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Deep understanding of market trends and consumer behavior.
  • Ability to effectively manage budgets and resources.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Creative vision and the ability to translate it into actionable plans.
  • Knowledge of design principles, marketing concepts, and advertising techniques.

Working Mode: Hybrid

Estimate Salary Range: $250,000 - $275,000

Base pay is one component of David Yurman’s total compensation package, which may also include the following for eligible employees: access to healthcare benefits, 401(k) plan, bonus, employee discounts, Summer Fridays (corporate roles), generous paid time off, sick time, and more.
