VP, Director Engagement Strategy
Integrated Strategy Department
Reports to: EVP, Director of Integrated Strategy
Job Summary
The VP, Engagement Strategy works closely with the VP, Brand Strategy Lead and VP, CX Innovation Lead to foster innovation in all phases of brand construction. This role translates brand strategy and target profiles to create unique customer journeys, ensuring effective and efficient influence at key touchpoints. The ideal candidate is an innovative leader with a keen ability to identify intersection points with targets across the disease state journey, informing comprehensive engagement planning. In this hybrid role, you will be expected to spend a minimum of 2 days per week on-site at a Calcium+Company office or client location.

Key Job Responsibilities
(Duties may include, but are not limited to all or some of the following)
- Strategic Leadership:
- Partner with the account, creative and brand strategy leads to orchestrate yearly (tactical) brand planning, innovative ideation, and construction of target centric engagement plans
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Cross-train the Marketing Innovation team and broader Calcium+Company departments, serving as the Public Relations/Social connector
- Oversee, train and mentor their Engagement Strategy Designer, further establishing them in their role
- Integrated Growth:
- Identify and transform client, brand, and agency opportunities into actionable plans, resulting in agency growth, organic revenue increase, and new business wins
- Continuously collaborate with new business teams and partners (e.g., PRotein, VitaminMD) on new and organic growth opportunities
- Innovation & Development:
- Spearhead the development of best practices, strategic frameworks, and process with the support of cross functional agency teams, industry contacts, and ongoing review of new and emerging platforms
- Drive innovation in all engagements, defining new techniques, strategic approaches, and programmatic opportunities based on target, market, and brand insights
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in advertising, marketing, business, psychology, or similar area
- 6+ years of experience in engagement strategy or related position within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
- Demonstrated ability to foster cross-team engagement to design programmatic ideas
- Ability to develop actional target profiles and generate innovative ideas & programs
- Omnichannel planning and executional expert who has existing 3rd party relationships and understands the leading edge of media
- Proven advocate to champion an agency’s strategic process and offerings in all internal and external engagements
- Sought after by clients and agency personnel for industry knowledge, meaningful points-of-view, target insights, and strategic contribution across all aspects of the business.
- Strong proficiency in data analytics and designing & implementing unique market research
- Familiarity with online collaboration tools such as Mural or Miro
- Highly skilled in client presentations and engagement
- Must be able to work on-site a minimum of 2 days per week in a Calcium+Company office or client location
