The VP, Counsel will legal advice and services to business departments concerning commercial banking transactions, vendor arrangements, litigation matters, legal and regulatory requirements and expectations, and corporate governance issues
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and advise on legal risks associated with deals
Advise on the Bank's legal issues, services and more
Assist with special projects as needed
The Successful Applicant
JD
Admitted to NY State Bar
Experience drafting and negotiating contracts for a bank, related to financing transactions, commercial lending, loan documents, commercial credit documents, etc.
At least four years of experience working at a large law firm, and/or in-house at large financial services institution
Relevant experience in dealing with a broad range of credit and finance transactions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Team player
Fluency in Mandarin a plus
