VP, Controller

We have been retained to assist with the search for a VP, Controller for a high-growth healthcare MSO in Miami. If remote, must be willing to travel to Miami quarterly. We are looking for a strong leader to support the exciting growth and M&A initiatives ahead.

This role is newly created to support the exciting growth trajectory. Reporting directly to the CFO and Board of Directors, the person in this role will lead a local team based in Miami. Competitive compensation including base + bonus + future equity.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Oversee the company's accounting and financial integrity, focusing on accuracy, quality, and timeliness.
• Establishing trust cross-functionally with other departments and with field operators and doctors on the quality and integrity of the financials.
• Maintain all financial systems according to GAAP and regulatory standards.
• Set high-level KPIs and track continuous improvements in various areas.
• Collaborate with finance on financial due diligence of potential acquisition targets.
• Work with Finance to advise Operations team on ways to improve profitability
• Monitor accounting, financial reporting and budgetary activities of all entities and report on the financial status of each location/entity’s operations
• Assist with annual budget development and work closely with each practice and department to ensure they function within their budget parameters
• Refine and streamline systems and processes as needed
• Partner with VP of Finance to present financial information to the Board of Directors and senior management.

Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• Master’s degree in Accounting or MBA preferred
• CPA HIGHLY preferred
• 10-20 years of progressive experience including prior public accounting and current corporate accounting
• Must have experience with a multi-site healthcare MSO
• Must be a strong leader with excellent communication skills as this role is highly visible.
