Job Description
Join our dynamic team in Princeton, NJ, where you will lead our Business Development efforts in the US, EU, and China markets. As VP of Business Development - Search & Evaluate, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our growth strategy across key therapeutic areas such as ophthalmology, dermatology, and oncology. This role reports directly to our Chief Strategy Officer.
Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to refine and execute Sun's growth strategy in specialty areas.
Lead and develop a high-performing team focused on identifying and evaluating licensing and M&A opportunities.
Cultivate strategic partnerships with biotech and pharmaceutical companies to expand our portfolio and market presence.
Drive the evaluation and tracking of potential licensing opportunities aligned with our strategic objectives.
Present findings and recommendations to senior executives, both internally and externally.
Oversee the negotiation process, working closely with legal and transaction teams to finalize agreements.
Maintain up-to-date competitive intelligence and industry trends to inform strategic decisions.
Qualifications
Advanced degree (PhD or MD/PhD preferred) with expertise in relevant therapeutic areas such as immunology, dermatology, or rheumatology.
Minimum of 15 years of experience in biotech and/or pharmaceutical business development.
Proven track record of successfully leading and closing deals in the global market.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage cross-functional teams.
Excellent Problem-solving Abilities And Strategic Thinking Skills.
International experience, particularly in the EU and China markets, is highly desirable.
