Led today by their son Evan, David Yurman creates timeless jewelry collections for women and men defined by artist-inspired form, material innovation, meticulous craftsmanship and Cable – the brand’s artistic signature. David Yurman collections are available through the brand’s retail stores (50) and eComm sites throughout the United States, Canada, Hong Kong and France, and over an additional 300 locations worldwide via their exclusive network of authorized fine jewelry and timepiece retailers.

Overview

The VP, Brand & Voice Creative role at David Yurman plays a critical role within the Creative and Marketing teams, and the broader organization as it creates, develops and executes brand campaigns and creative and brand narrative and storytelling. The David Yurman brand has enormous opportunity for continued growth, and this role will be a key player to achieve this.

The VP, Brand & Voice Creative will oversee and lead the Brand Creative and Brand Voice teams, focused on developing consideration campaigns and brand voice and storytelling to ensure we achieve the business and brand objectives. This will involve developing and sharpening our approach to Brand Voice, Hero Product narrative and Heritage and Craftsmanship storytelling, on the Brand Creative side the focus is on the development and execution of best-in-class consideration campaigns and assets in close partnership with cross-functional teams. Furthermore, the VP, Brand & Voice Creative will support awareness campaign development in close partnership with the Senior Creative Director. The position will work cross-functionally with Integrated Marketing, Strategy and Merchandising and the wider Creative team.

The VP, Brand & Voice Creative innately understands luxury positioning and can balance strong creative vision with business acumen, excels at creative execution and leadership skills. Candidate must be a strong storyteller driver that is able to unlock key brand moments across both the brand and voice channels. The candidate must have 10+ years in a luxury, jewelry or high-end fashion house, developing best-in-class brand creative and consideration campaigns as well as developing a brand voice that both elevates and drives conversion. Communication, Curiosity, and Creativity are key for success in this position.

Responsibilities

Brand Creative & Brand Voice:

  • Consideration Campaigns, Brand Storytelling, Special Projects (VIP Gifting).

Brand Creative:

  • Develop and execute best-in-class Consideration Campaigns.
  • Develop and expand Brand Identity kit and ensure tight adherence across the Brand Creative team. Ensure brand consistency and integrity across all touch points, maintaining high standards of quality and creativity.
  • Oversee and direct OOH, print etc. designs adhere to project requirements, objectives, and timelines and uphold brand standards across all projects.
  • Create and execute Special projects ranging from VIP and special packaging projects, mailers, co-op kits, cross-functional collateral (marketing, events, retail etc.).
  • Collaborate with the SVP Creative in the conceptualization and execution of brand awareness campaigns.

Brand Voice:

  • Develop and action a refresh of the Brand Voice and how it plays out across channels.
  • Create Brand Voice guidelines that are applicable across all 360 touch points.
  • Expand on Hero and Icon product & heritage and craftsmanship storytelling.
  • Direct and oversee Brand Communications with focus on E-Commerce and Email.
  • Oversee and edit day-to-day copy and ensure adherence to Brand Voice Guidelines and Channel Marketing KPI’s.

Leadership:

  • Actively collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and merchandising, to ensure constant alignment and integration of brand messaging and visuals.
  • Partner closely with project managers in terms of meeting goals and deadlines necessary for timely delivery of projects and creative assets.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, consumer insights, and competitive landscape to inform creative strategies and tactics.
  • Manage and mentor the brand and voice teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.

Qualifications

  • Tenure: 10+ years of experience in brand management, creative direction, or a related role, with a proven track record of success in a luxury jewelry or high-end fashion or beauty brand.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, design, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others: Communication, Curiosity, and Creativity are key for success in this position.
  • 10+ years in a luxury, jewelry or high-end fashion house, working with top tier talents and deep knowledge of the industry.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate creative concepts and strategies effectively.
  • Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of consumer behavior, market trends, and industry best practices.
  • Creative vision and ability to think outside the box, with a passion for storytelling and brand building.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Keynote, PowerPoint, Ms Office, Frame.io and other relevant design software/tools.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Creative vision and the ability to translate it into actionable plans.
  • Knowledge of design principles, marketing concepts, and advertising techniques.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Working Mode: Hybrid

Estimate Salary Range: $250,000 - $275,000

Base pay is one component of David Yurman’s total compensation package, which may also include the following for eligible employees: access to healthcare benefits, 401(k) plan, bonus, employee discounts, Summer Fridays (corporate roles), generous paid time off, sick time, and more.
