VP, Asset Liability Management

JCW Group is currently working with an rapidly growing regional bank to hire a VP of Asset Liability Management. This is a full-time opportunity based in the northern New Jersey area.

Position Overview:

The Vice President of Asset Liability Management (ALM) will be responsible for overseeing the bank's ALM strategy, ensuring effective balance sheet management, and mitigating financial risks. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of financial markets, liquidity management, interest rate risk, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive ALM strategies to optimize the bank's balance sheet and achieve financial objectives.
• Monitor and analyze interest rate risk, liquidity risk, and market risk exposures.
• Conduct regular stress testing and scenario analysis to evaluate the bank's resilience to various economic conditions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align ALM strategies with overall business goals and risk appetite.
• Prepare and present ALM reports, findings, and recommendations to senior management and board of directors.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to ALM and financial risk management.
• Lead and mentor the ALM team, fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and excellence.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; Master's degree or CFA/FRM certification preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in asset liability management, treasury management, or financial risk management within the banking industry.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely.
• Proven leadership abilities with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
• Proficiency in ALM software, financial modeling, and risk management tools.
