Description

Albion College invites applications for a one year sabbatical replacement in Communication Studies. We are especially interested in candidates who will contribute to a campus climate that supports equity, diversity, and belonging.

The Communication Studies Department at Albion College is looking for a full-time visiting faculty member beginning August 2024 committed to teaching in a liberal arts environment with a diverse student population.

In particular, we seek a quantitative social scientist who can teach a variety of our course offerings. Candidates should have a Ph.D. (ABD’s considered) and ability to teach Introduction to Human Communication and Communication Research Methods.

Candidates who could contribute to our majors in Integrated Marketing Communication and Sports Communication would be given priority consideration.

The successful candidate will have a 3/3 teaching load and is expected to participate in departmental activities.

Position Duration: 9 months per year (mid-August through mid-May)

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in related field by start of position
  • Teaching experience preferred
