The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Cleveland State University (CSU) invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track Visiting Assistant Lecturer in environmental engineering commencing August 19, 2024. The department offers graduate programs with specialties in environmental engineering, structures and foundations, transportation, and water resources. This position will complement current faculty research expertise within the department, and align with the Washkewicz College of Engineering’s research goal of Sustainable Urban Living.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate level (if qualified) environmental engineering courses in support of the ABET accredited Bachelor of Civil Engineering program and develop/upgrade graduate-level courses (if qualified) consistent with his/her research interests.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in civil engineering or related fields;
  • Earned Master’s degree in civil (or environmental) engineering by July 1, 2024;
  • Teaching experience in engineering as an instructor; and
  • Research experience in an area of environmental engineering.
