Mindful Health is a combination of Bricks & Mortar locations and virtual service offerings across the state of Texas to create a high-end client experience. We currently have locations in the following locations: Rockwall, Heath, San Antonio, and now Georgetown!



Position Summary: 

The LCSW/LMFT/LPC is responsible for providing individual, couple, and family therapy for Mindful Health clients. The clinician is able to set parameters around the age groups served depending on level of experience. Full-time clinicians at Mindful Health are required to see 25 clients per week. Part time clinician's requirements to be determined based on number of hours committed.

Education & Experience  

  • A master’s degree in social work, human development, psychology, counseling, or behavioral science from an accredited college or university. 
  • Has met state licensing requirements for LCSW, LMFT, and LPC and is actively licensed to practice.  
  • 2 years of experience in clinical assessment & diagnosis, focusing on treating and preventing mental, emotional, and behavioral health challenges, preferred. 
  • Willingness to pursue certification in valued treatment modalities. 


Duties / Responsibilities 

  • Establishes a positive, trusting rapport with clients. 
  • Diagnoses and treats mental health disorders. 
  • Creates individualized treatment plans according to client needs and circumstances. 
  • Meets with clients regularly to provide counseling, treatment and adjust treatment plans as necessary. 
  • Conducts ongoing assessments of client progress. 
  • Involves and advises family members when appropriate. 
  • Refers clients to outside specialists or agencies when necessary. 
  • Maintains thorough records of client meetings and progress. 
  • Follows all safety protocols and maintains client confidentiality. 
  • Contributes to practice by accomplishing related tasks as needed.  
  • Provide individual, couple, and family therapy for clients. 
  • Document all clinical encounters with individuals, couples, and families clearly and concisely, demonstrating the therapeutic process. 
  • Demonstrate ongoing evaluation of clients’ diagnoses, psychosocial stressors, strengths, and opportunities for growth.   
  • Evaluate clients’ progress using identified outcome measures and adjust treatment plans accordingly. 
  • Develop and review the discharge plan with the client and family, if appropriate and applicable.  
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and staff. 
  • Ensures client satisfaction and participates in addressing issues if they arise. 
  • Maintain a positive, professional image in the office and the community. 
  • Maintain regular work hours, be on time, and manage time well. 
  • Demonstrates personal characteristics of patience, tact, cheerfulness, and enthusiasm toward the administration and clients.  Must be able to respond to all types of behavior appropriately. 
  • Additional duties that facilitate the effective operations of the programs and services provided 


Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications: 

  • Knowledge and experience in a therapeutic milieu. 
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and other laws applicable to mental health services. 
  • Emotional intelligence and empathy, as demonstrated by the ability to identify with and understand another person’s point of view and ask the right questions to determine the focus for treatment. 
  • Communication as demonstrated by the ability to convey, both verbally and in writing, detailed directions, describe processes in understandable terms, and provide concise documentation of the therapeutic process. 
  • Active listening skills, as demonstrated by interpreting verbal and non-verbal cues to determine the treatment focus and understand information from colleagues and other mental health professionals.  
  • Critical thinking skills, as demonstrated by using creative problem-solving as part of the therapeutic process to find the best available options for clients. 
  • Organizational skills are demonstrated by ensuring each case is updated in a timely manner with the correct information and cases are prioritized based on client needs. 
  • Cultural competency is demonstrated by being sensitive to diverse ideas, views, and beliefs and seeking to learn more about others while understanding one’s own background and beliefs. 
  • Boundary setting is demonstrated by setting boundaries in the clinician-client relationship and establishing a good work-life balance.  
  • Professionalism, as demonstrated by constantly learning and developing better ways to serve clients and the community.  Use knowledge gained to improve services with clients, and families.  
  • Time management is shown by giving clients the attention they need in interpersonal interaction and completing documentation promptly.  
  • Advocacy as demonstrated by verbally representing clients in connecting with services, resources, and opportunities, especially for clients who may not know how to advocate for themselves.

Full-time Employees only:

  • 120 hours (15 days) of paid time off
  • 40 hours (5 days) of sick leave
  • 24 hours (3 days) of paid bereavement leave per occurrence.
