About The Role
We are seeking passionate educators who are eager to create a supportive and challenging virtual classroom environment focused on student learning and social-emotional development. You will serve as the primary instructor, delivering engaging live lessons and supporting student progress through both synchronous and asynchronous instruction methods.
Responsibilities
Serve as the teacher of record, ensuring high levels of student achievement and meeting state-specific academic accountability goals.
Deliver effective live lessons via web conference tailored to student needs, grounded in research-based instructional practices.
Set up courses within the Learning Management System and monitor student progress daily, providing timely feedback and grading assignments.
Collaborate with the Principal to create progress reports and adjust instructional strategies based on student data.
Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse student needs and integrate 21st-century technology skills into daily lessons.
Foster a nurturing classroom environment that promotes cultural responsiveness and inclusive teaching practices.
Communicate regularly with families to discuss student academic and social-emotional growth.
Participate in non-instructional activities such as social events and field trips, supporting school-wide culture expectations.
Requirements
Current West Virginia teaching license in the relevant content area and residency.
Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
Preferred two years' teaching experience, with comfort in a growth-focused coaching environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Ability to handle confidential information, supervise students in various settings, and pass background checks.
Experience in multicultural settings is advantageous.
