About The Role
We are seeking passionate counselors to join our team, dedicated to creating a rigorous and supportive classroom environment that prioritizes student learning and social-emotional development. This role involves delivering proactive guidance curriculum to individuals and groups, engaging students in academic and career planning assessments, and facilitating their success towards on-time graduation. While this position is primarily online, occasional travel and in-person attendance for state testing and student events are required.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver proactive guidance curriculum to individuals and groups.
Engage students in academic and career planning assessments, interpreting results, and assisting students with developing success plans.
Respond to individual and group needs with responsive counseling and programming.
Review transfer student transcripts and ensure appropriate course placements.
Maintain and review transcripts for active students, overseeing credit award procedures.
Create and maintain student graduation plans and 504 plans.
Provide career readiness curriculum and facilitate career planning.
Coordinate career fairs, graduate fairs, and specialized career-focused events.
Deliver Life Skills curriculum to enhance student development.
Analyze student data to provide insights for academic programs and interventions.
About You
Valid Ohio School Counselor license and residency required.
Bachelor's degree plus at least one year of previous counseling or advisement experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with the ASCA model and K-12 online learning.
Familiarity with Ohio CTE and maintaining external partnerships.
Understanding of Career and Technical Education (CTE) and its implementation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite Products.
Ability to handle confidential information responsibly and make sound, evidence-based decisions.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks effectively under pressure, and meet deadlines consistently.
Customer service orientation and ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks.
