Join our team, a distinguished K-10 tuition-free online public school based in the state of Missouri. We're dedicated to empowering students to excel by providing personalized learning experiences through innovative technology, allowing them to thrive at their own pace.
We are currently seeking passionate educators who are eager to foster a supportive and enriching classroom environment that emphasizes both academic growth and social-emotional development. We utilize a cutting-edge 21st-century curriculum, accessible online and through various traditional methods. While this position primarily involves virtual instruction, occasional in-person attendance is required for state testing and student events.
Responsibilities
Serve as the primary instructor across all core content areas and grade levels.
Strive to achieve goals related to student achievement, cultural enrichment, and state-specific academic benchmarks.
Deliver engaging live lessons via web conferencing tailored to individual student needs, drawing from research-based instructional practices.
Set up courses within the Learning Management System and monitor student progress, providing daily feedback and grading assignments.
Maintain regular communication with students and collaborate with the Principal to generate and deliver progress reports.
Utilize student data to adjust instructional strategies effectively, ensuring each student's needs are met.
Foster a joyful and supportive classroom environment, integrating culturally responsive teaching practices.
Uphold school-wide culture expectations and norms, both inside and outside the classroom.
Communicate regularly with families to update them on their child's academic and social-emotional growth.
Incorporate 21st-century technology skills into classroom activities and collaborate with colleagues on non-instructional events.
Attend in-person events such as social gatherings and field trips.
Collaborate respectfully and effectively with colleagues, contributing to a positive team environment.
Requirements
Possession of a valid Missouri teaching license in the appropriate content area.
Familiarity with State Standards and Common Core Standards.
Preferred Minimum Of Two Years' Teaching Experience.
Comfortable working in a growth-focused coaching environment with frequent observations and feedback sessions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word and Outlook.
Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
Physical ability to stand for up to 90 minutes and supervise students in various school settings.
Successful completion of federal and state criminal background checks.
