About The Role
You will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing a comprehensive career readiness program. Your dedication will ensure that all students receive the support they need to thrive academically and professionally. You will work collaboratively with administrators, student services staff, and teachers to deliver top-notch career development services.
Key Responsibilities
Manage career readiness programming for all students, fostering their growth and success.
Recruit students for available CTE programs of study, providing them with exciting opportunities.
Coordinate career planning activities in collaboration with the school counselor and other student services staff.
Assist students with course selections related to CTE and career/graduation planning, guiding them towards their aspirations.
Develop and maintain partnerships with businesses, industries, educational institutions, and community organizations to enrich students' learning experiences.
Provide and coordinate administration and interpretation of career assessments, empowering students to make informed decisions about their futures.
Develop and oversee work-based learning opportunities, connecting students with real-world experiences.
Market CTE programs and partnerships, showcasing the opportunities available to our students.
Deliver professional development and training to school staff on career readiness standards and best practices, ensuring a supportive learning environment.
Stay updated with emerging demands, trends, and careers in the workforce by participating in professional development activities.
Make recommendations for long-term adjustments in the career readiness program to meet evolving job trends and labor market needs.
Assist with activities to ensure program funding and compliance, ensuring the sustainability and success of our initiatives.
Perform other related duties as assigned, contributing to the overall excellence of our educational community.
Minimum Qualifications
Residency in Indiana required, reflecting our commitment to the local community.
Bachelor's Degree in education or a related field, demonstrating your academic foundation.
Ohio CTE teaching license or the ability to obtain a CTE supplemental license preferred, showcasing your expertise in the field.
Three or more years of experience with Ohio CTE, including creating and maintaining external partnerships, highlighting your valuable experience.
Fundamental understanding of Career and Technical Education (CTE) and its indicators of success, ensuring effective program implementation.
Exemplary written and verbal communication skills, essential for building relationships and facilitating collaboration.
Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Capacity to work well under pressure, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines consistently.
Ability to work with a diverse student body and peer group, fostering inclusivity and respect.
Willingness to undergo state and federal background checks, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all.
