We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Videographer/Video Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for filming in challenging and dynamic environments while also assisting in post-production editing tasks. This role requires expertise in videography, proficiency in editing software, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced and demanding settings. This role demands a passionate and adaptable individual capable of combining technical expertise with creative storytelling skills to deliver exceptional video content.
Required Skills
Filming in Fast-Paced Environments:
Utilize professional-grade equipment to capture high-quality footage in various settings (e.g., , busy airports, active airfields, remote locations).
Function as both the lead videographer and onsite director using polished “people skills” to support both professional and amateur talent acting in scenes.
Ensure all necessary equipment is properly set up, maintained, and functional before and throughout filming sessions.
Adapt quickly to changing environmental conditions to achieve optimal video quality and storytelling.
Creative Vision and Execution:
Collaborate with team members to conceptualize and execute video projects that align with the vision and goals of the subject matter and Producer.
Contribute innovative ideas and creative approaches to enhance video content in challenging environments.
Post-production Editing and Enhancement:
Edit and enhance raw footage to produce polished and compelling videos that meet project requirements and deadlines.
Implement video and sound editing techniques, color correction, and visual effects to enhance the final product.
Equipment Management and Maintenance:
Maintain and organize video equipment, ensuring it is in optimal condition for use in demanding environments.
Troubleshoot technical issues and perform routine maintenance on cameras, audio gear, and other filming equipment.
Recommend equipment upgrades to maintain technological superiority.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including content creators, directors, and onsite customer contacts, to ensure alignment with project objectives and efficient processes.
Communicate effectively to understand project specifications, deadlines, and expectations.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
Proven experience as a videographer, preferably in challenging environments.
At least 5 years of video production experience.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Proficiency in using professional video equipment, cameras, and accessories.
Strong knowledge of video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects).
Creativity and a keen eye for detail in capturing and editing video content.
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances in challenging environments.
Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines.
Strong communication and collaboration skills in a team-oriented environment.
A portfolio demonstrating previous work in demanding environments and editing projects is highly desirable.
