NJ/NY Gotham FC (“Gotham FC” or “the Club”) is a National Women’s Soccer League (“NWSL”) team representing New Jersey and New York. The team plays at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, NJ.

The Role

Gotham FC is looking for a Videographer/Editor to shoot, edit, and create compelling video content and features for distribution across all of Gotham FC’s platforms. The videographer/editor will be part of the Content & Social team, responsible for developing best-in-class, consistent, and breakthrough content to elevate the Gotham FC team & brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shooting and editing short-form videos, b-roll production, sizzle reels, organic social, paid media, and creating high-quality content stemming from training, matches, and other on-location activities - all with the goal of informing, entertaining, engaging, and inspiring Gotham FC’s existing and new fans
  • Maintain Scoreplay asset management, inclusive of gathering, organizing, tagging, and clipping videos for use by business & soccer staff stakeholders
  • Capture & edit content from all home and away games, as well as select team practices
  • Shoot & edit always-on club content in deep collaboration with Social Media Leads
  • Collaborate with internal teams, inclusive of Fan Experience, Development, and Communications, to develop compelling & impactful content for use across marketing needs – such as paid ads, promotional spots, and other necessary content features
  • Work with Partnership Marketing to shoot and edit compelling content for partner-sponsored content
  • As needed, source additional freelancers to support cross-functional business needs for shoots in and outside of gamedays
  • Manage deadlines and timelines with internal stakeholders to ensure timely video content delivery

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in film, video production, or a related field preferred
  • 3-4 years experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated ability to shoot and edit videos with a detailed and creative eye for internal and external communications efforts (a portfolio will be required as part of the interview process)
  • Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages, including Adobe Premier, After Effects, and Photoshop
  • Experience with Scoreplay and asset management technologies
  • Comfortable sourcing raw footage, screen recordings, music, b-roll, and graphics to tell the best visual story
  • Possess a highly creative eye and a passion for uniqueness
  • Ability to think creatively and proactively and devise creative video concepts in support of club business goals
  • Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple requests simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with concurrent deadlines

Capability & Other Characteristics

  • Work out of Jersey City Office
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to comfortably stand for extended periods of time
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Experience operating digital cinema cameras & producing shoots, inclusive of lighting setups and sourcing other necessary equipment
  • Attend and capture content at all home games and travel with the team to away games, as well as attend any mandatory, as necessary
  • Attend & capture content at practices at Practice Facility & ability to work at the team’s soccer operations office in Whippany, New Jersey
  • Ability to travel for other business-related needs as they arise

Location:

Based at Gotham FC’s business office, located at 15 Exchange Place, Jersey City, New Jersey, on a hybrid working schedule which consists of three core in-office/in-person days (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) and two non-core days (Monday and Friday), with the option of being in the business office or remote. Ability to attend all home games and any mandatory events as well as away games, as necessary. A willingness to travel for other business-related needs, as they arise. Ability to work at the team’s soccer operations office in Whippany, New Jersey, as needed. Gotham FC requires its associates to live in its market, that is, within reasonable commuting distance of Gotham FC’s offices, practice facility and Red Bull Arena.

Salary Range: $70,000-$75,000
