Starting Pay Range: $20.30 - $23.40 per hour.

OCCU offers $2 per hour in additional compensation for bilingual Spanish-speaking employees who pass a standardized language test.

Location: Eugene/Springfield, OR – Onsite Work Environment

As an Interactive/Video Teller you will assist members with financial transactions while actively educating members on products and services. You will provide a personalized member experience and resources through a needs-based assessment to identify the needs of the member. You will also complete tasks and responsibilities associated with ITM transactions through video such as balancing, member follow-up, operating and assisting with ITM/ATM functions while promoting this enhancement in a positive manner to our members.

Every Day You Will

  • Consistently demonstrate alignment with OCCU’s vision and values.
  • Responsible for efficient and accurate performance including accepting deposits and loan payments, disbursing cash, transfers, and other transactions outlined in ITM procedures. Maintain accurate records of all transactions. Balance virtual cash drawer and daily transactions.
  • Promote virtual systems to our members; use both internal and external software programs with a high degree of mastery.
  • Deliver exceptional member service including greeting members promptly and using their names during the transaction. Demonstrate ownership of resolution, a sense of urgency, and a professional demeanor.
  • Clarify member requests by asking questions to understand the members' expectations, concerns, and needs in order to recommend the appropriate products, services, and actions.
  • Understand OCCU’s personal and business products and services. Provide members and potential members with accurate and precise information about all OCCU products and services.
  • Stay current on products, procedures, and other pertinent changes. Attend and complete training that enhances one’s ability to perform the job.
  • Adhere to OCCU’s privacy policy and appropriately verify members and accounts according to expectations. Maintain member account information on OCCU computer systems and ensure that appropriate and accurate records are maintained. Preserve confidentiality and integrity in all interactions.
  • Keep track of one’s schedule and attend work and meetings as scheduled and on time.
  • Must follow all BSA regulations, including completing CTR reports when applicable, reporting suspicious activity via SAR when applicable, and completing annual training.

To Thrive In This Role, You Must Have

  • Minimum of one year as a Teller, or similar role.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of financial institutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to use innovative technologies and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills that include verbal and written.
  • Working knowledge of banking products and regulatory requirements.
