Job Summary:
The Video Engineer, Video Services Creative, is responsible for supporting global creative operations in our Nashville office. Key workflows include non-linear editing, live content capture, pseudo and lyric video creation, promo/sizzle reel builds, video content QC and remediation, transcoding, and related administrative services.
Job Functions:
Serve as a creative and technical operator for video production and post-production workflows
Capture live concert footage, b-roll, behind-the-scenes, and promo footage for artists and management
Conceptualize and execute unique VFX animations to meet task-specific challenges for our labels and artists under tight deadlines
Utilize a wide range of VFX, video, audio, and ancillary production and post-production tools efficiently
Create layered separations from flattened image files and composite new elements into existing media
Color match and correct mixed media sources to match existing source material
Edit, compress, and quality check assets for productization and archiving
Update and maintain content metadata for incoming assets using third-party and proprietary tracking and asset management systems
Review (and create) automated and manual Master QC reports with strong attention to detail
Make sound, independent decisions, and escalate issues when necessary
Cross-train team members in standard operating procedures for creative workflows
Job Requirements:
5+ years of editing and VFX experience in the digital video sector
Thorough working knowledge of video editing, encoding, audio and video mastering, and their common failures and technical challenges
Preferred experience with digital cameras, lenses, and peripherals
Expertise in post-production workflows utilizing Adobe Creative Cloud and DaVinci Resolve
Desired working knowledge and fluency in Blender
Ability to normalize, modify, and prepare file-based content to defined specifications and workflows
In-depth knowledge and ability to perform advanced troubleshooting in a Mac-based work environment with various third-party applications
Keen understanding of production/post-production infrastructure requirements related to supply chain workflows
Ability to provide constructive feedback on practices, tools, and methods related to video production and post-production
Outgoing, creative thinker
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of our labels and partners. Current shift schedule is 8 am-5 pm (may change due to business demands)
