Job Summary
We're on the hunt for a creative Video Editor who's passionate about crafting compelling storytelling for diverse digital platforms! This position will be heavily focused on video editing, with some self-directed shooting on location. If you're a wizard with Adobe Premiere and After Effects and would like to grow as a cinematographer, we want to hear from you! With avenues for both vertical advancement and the expansion of our services, you'll have the chance to grow and thrive within our dynamic team.
Responsibilities
Logs, organizes, and assembles raw footage in Adobe Premiere to create compelling visual narratives.
Edits projects from assembly and rough cuts through to completion, ensuring a seamless and polished final product.
Assists on shoots in various capacities, including but not limited to camera operation, lighting setup, and equipment management.
Compiles and curates creative assets such as music and graphics for incorporation into projects, enhancing overall production value.
Cleans audio in Adobe Audition, mixes sound for final video deliverables, and ensures optimal audio quality throughout the editing process.
Produces occasion self-directed video projects from concept to completion, showcasing creativity and innovation.
Collaborates with project managers to develop schedules and timelines for both production and post-production, ensuring timely delivery of projects.
Supports the Senior Videographer as a creative collaborator, second camera person/assistant, and “heavy lift” editor, contributing to the overall success of projects.
Conducts research, ideates, and works on concepts, scopes, production plans, timelines, and general business direction and opportunities for the company.
Requirements
Required Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:
Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite and demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Premiere for video editing and post-production tasks.
Ability to create engaging motion graphics and text treatments to enhance video content.
Basic familiarity with Adobe After Effects and the ability to customize After Effects templates as needed for video projects.
Knowledge of commercial and corporate video production processes, including shooting, editing, and delivering high-quality video content.
Knowledge of camera operation, various lenses, and video formats to ensure optimal footage quality.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, communicating effectively with colleagues to achieve project goals.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.
Capacity to collaborate with team members across different departments to align on project objectives and deliverables.
Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of the video production process from conceptualization to final delivery.
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop for image editing and graphic design tasks.
Ability to create simple animations to enhance video content.
Skill in leading meetings, presenting video concepts to clients, and effectively interpreting and implementing client feedback to achieve project objectives.
