Vice President (Water/Wastewater)

Our client, a prominent national contractor specializing in water and wastewater infrastructure, seeks a dynamic and experienced Vice President to lead their water treatment plant construction division. This is a key executive role responsible for overseeing all aspects of project management, from inception to completion, ensuring that the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of project managers, engineers, and support staff to execute water treatment plant construction projects across the United States.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance project efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality.
• Oversee budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure timely and on-budget project delivery.
• Foster and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance and customer satisfaction.
• Drive business development efforts to expand the company’s presence in the water/wastewater construction market.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and promote a culture of safety across all project sites.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, promoting professional growth and development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in water treatment plant construction, with a strong track record of successful project delivery.
• Proven leadership experience with a general contractor, including oversight of large-scale, complex construction projects.
• In-depth knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices in water/wastewater treatment construction.
• Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel nationwide as required.
