Position Summary:

The role involves directing sales staff and activities, as well as planning, developing, and establishing policies and objectives of the sales function in line with strategic goals.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with organizational leaders to plan sales objectives, develop sales policies, and coordinate functions. - Assess the market position of competing products, services, and organizations, including their marketing and sales techniques
  • Devise sales strategies and promotions to achieve maximum sales volume
  • Provide direction to all sales personnel and oversee the preparation of reports
  • Formulate and recommend policies and programs, interpret and enforce company policy and practices, and ensure the adequacy of training programs
  • May be involved in recruiting, hiring, training staff, evaluating employee performance, and recommending or initiating promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action

Specific Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities Required:

The role requires strong interpersonal skills, in-depth knowledge of the Upfitting industry, bailment program knowledge and understanding, franchise automotive dealership knowledge, ability to solve complex problems, excellent leadership capabilities, proficiency in multitasking, handling pressure well, and excellent project management skills.

Position Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Business-related field
  • Master’s degree or MBA preferred. Experience:
  • 10+ years’ experience in a relevant leadership position within the wholesale and/or retail automotive industry
  • In-depth knowledge of the Upfitting industry, the inner workings of franchise automotive dealerships, and bailment program knowledge

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Office environment with the ability to sit for long periods of time
  • Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on the computer
