Vice President Utility Scale Mining Planning & Analysis

SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President Utility Scale Mining Planning & Analysis to join our team. The Vice President of Utility Scale Mining Planning & Analysis will play a critical role in driving financial planning, analysis, and business strategy within the Utility Scale Mining Business Unit. This position requires a strong leader with excellent analytical skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of financial management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Financial Strategy and Planning:
    • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process
    • Develop cash flow models to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
    • Develop and maintain long-term financial models to support strategic decision-making for Utility Scale Mining.
    • Provide insights and recommendations for business performance improvement based on financial analysis.
    • Optimize cash flow management and working capital.
    • Financial Analysis & Reporting:


    • Oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
    • Analyze financial results and key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide actionable insights to Utility Scale Mining leadership.
    • Conduct variance analysis to understand deviations from budget and forecast and recommend corrective actions.
    • Create and maintain financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and profitability of mining operations.
    • Monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reporting on each individual data center.
    • Process Improvement:


    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial planning and analysis.
    • Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making on capital investments and other strategic projects.
    • Leverage technology and data analytics to streamline financial processes and reporting.
    • Stakeholder Engagement:


    • Act as a key liaison with corporate finance and other external stakeholders.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or CPA is preferred.
    • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
    • Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and strategic planning.
    • Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Advanced proficiency in financial software and tools, such as Excel, financial ERP systems, and data analytics platforms.
