Vice President, Technical Operations

POSITION LOCATION

This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. Currently 5 days of on-site work per month are required.

POSITION PURPOSE

The Vice President, Technical Operations will oversee all aspects of our technology strategy and operations. This executive role requires a visionary leader who can manage complex IT projects, ensure robust cybersecurity measures, and foster a culture of innovation within the technology team. The VP, Technical Operations will report directly to the CIO and collaborate closely with other senior leaders to align technology with the company’s strategic goals.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the company’s IT strategy to support business objectives.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and fintech trends to keep the company at the forefront of innovation.
  • Lead digital transformation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
  • Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing IT team.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative culture within the technology department.
  • Ensure ongoing professional development and training for IT staff.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex IT projects.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Implement project management best practices to drive successful outcomes.
  • Develop and enforce robust cybersecurity policies and practices.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards.
  • Manage risk assessments and mitigation strategies to protect company assets and data.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company’s IT infrastructure.
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of all IT systems and applications.
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers.
  • Develop and manage an annual budget for all expenditures related to infrastructure.
  • Champion innovation and continuous improvement within the IT department.
  • Encourage the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and methodologies.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensures that all area activities are conducted safely.
  • Oversees special projects and additional duties as requested.
  • Ensures that all office areas are clean, secure, and well maintained.
  • Promotes goodwill and conveys a positive image of the Company.
  • Overnight Travel as needed.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in IT management, with at least 3 years of experience in a senior leadership role.
  • 7 years of experience in business management and planning.
  • 7 years of experience in managing multiple concurrent projects.
  • 2 years of experience with ITL Foundation or similar discipline.
  • 5 years of personnel management.
  • Financial institution preferred.
  • 5 years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Required Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Demonstrated success in leading digital transformation initiatives.
  • Excellent Project Management skills with a track record of delivering complex projects.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of industry product and service offerings.
  • Knowledge of business analysis processes and procedures.
  • Familiarity with pricing and sales procedures.
  • Thorough understanding of quality customer service practices.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • The position is eligible for hybrid-office accommodations.
  • No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions (such as in a typical office).
  • Additional hours, including Saturday/Sunday support, as required.
  • Occasional travel overnight for training and conferences.
  • Long duration of computer workstation usage.
  • On-call responsibilities, available 24/7 via phone.
