Reporting to the President of the AMETEK Aerospace & Power Operating Group, the Vice President of Supply Chain and Operational Excellence will ensure that the operating units within the group achieve their business objectives. Operational Excellence initiatives include strategic global supply chain management and continuous improvement to drive a year-over-year increase in profit margin.
How You Will Make An Impact
Collaborate with Corporate and Divisional Supply Chain and Operations teams to leverage best practices and delivering results across operating units.
Work with and across businesses to identify strategic suppliers that can be leveraged across the Operating Group with a focus on US and EMEA suppliers as well as LCR suppliers.
Provide higher level support with suppliers to address material shortages within the businesses as they impact/could impact revenue – tactical material supply issues.
Ensure that top line revenue goals are met by managing materials and processes necessary for on-time delivery of shipments to customers.
Evaluate and support manufacturing transitions to low-cost regions (LCR).
Drive strategic operational improvement and cost savings efforts through root cause analysis and VA/VE.
Lead operational due diligence and integration of acquisitions.
Leverage existing and develop new six sigma training, kaizen events, and value stream mapping processes.
What You Will Bring To The Role
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business or technical degree; MBA highly preferred.
Prior experience within the aerospace or other similarly regulated industry is preferred.
10+ years of experience in a global Operations and Supply Chain leadership role within a manufacturing company.
Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and experience in the development, negotiation and implementation of contracts.
Demonstrated problem solver with an analytical/data driven mindset.
Ability to lead teams and achieve desired results through influence and credibility.
Domestic and international travel expectations up to 50%.
