What You'll Do:

As the Vice President of Software Engineering, you will be a key leader within our organization, responsible for driving the strategic direction and execution of multiple software development initiatives. Reporting directly to the SVP of R&D, you will lead multiple teams of software engineers and play a crucial role in shaping the future of our technology stack, architecture, and development processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction and technical leadership for software development initiatives
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance collaboration and communication among global teams
  • Manage overall operations including planning, budgeting, execution, reporting and talent operations
  • Set and enforce code standards, development methodologies, and best practices
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the software engineering team
  • Establish clear goals, performance metrics, and career development paths for team members
  • Collaborate with product management and executive leadership to define product roadmaps and priorities
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions and architectural designs
  • Ensure that software development efforts are aligned with market trends, customer needs, and company goals
  • Oversee the successful delivery of software projects from conception to deployment, ensuring they meet quality standards, budgets, and timelines
  • Design scalable, secure, and maintainable software architectures that support long-term growth and evolution
  • Evaluate and recommend technologies, frameworks, and tools to enhance development efficiency and product quality
  • Champion architectural principles such as modularity, reusability, and scalability


Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 10 years of experience in software engineering or related fields
  • 10 years of experience managing people, including managing multiple teams and other leaders
  • Experience partnering with global resource providers, preferred
  • Proven track record of leadership and innovation
  • Strong technical proficiency in modern programming languages, frameworks, and development tools
  • Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and system integration concepts.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale software projects and cross-functional teams in an agile environment
  • Ability to work effectively and accurately within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • PMP, Scrum Master, or AWS/Azure/GCP certification, preferred


Physical Considerations:

  • Ability to work in a general office environment
  • Ability to handle extended periods of computer-based work, including telephone
  • Ability to work flexible and long hours, as needed, including outside regular business hours and days


Travel Considerations:

  • Domestic and/or international travel required, estimated up to 30%
